slight noise after spring and sways installed

I have had my Pfadt Spings and Sway for about 2 weeks (400 miles) and I am very happy. Over the past week the temps have been very cold and I have noticed a slight noise when going over speed bumps and steep inclines. No noise under normal driving. Me thinks it could be the endlinks or sway bar bushing. The noise sounds like a screech or expansion. Anyone experience this? The noise was not present right after the install which leads me to think it might be an endlink or swaybar bushing.

From some of the other Threads that I read on this subject, I would check all nuts and bolts for proper torque. Also, check the grease fittings (if any) on the new sway bars that installed to make sure they were greased.

I have the same noise , not able to track it down yet but I think mine is also the front sway bar/bushings. I have BMR stuff.

i would go through and check all the end link bolts, i'm sure pfadt will tll you the same thing tomorrow or tuesday when they get back to the forums

Also, check the springs, i've never installed a pfadt spring, but we've seen some eibachs with fitment issues that caused noises and needed to be moved to get the noise to stop.

I am leaning toward an endlink issue as the noise only started recently and is only present when going over speed bumps.

The one thing I noticed about your problem is that it is louder as the weather gets colder. If you did not time the bushings after the car was lowered this could also be another place to look, if all of the bolts and sway bar bushing/ links look good.

I would like to be emailed about the fix for this issue as well. My installer has looked at my car twice and we cant find it and the sound is getting louder.

Thanks,
DH

The big things to check are:

1) everything is torqued to spec

2) bushings are properly greased

Exactly. 99% of noise issues concerning sway bar installations is either from the end links loosening up or not enough grease on the sway bar.

Time your bushes.
Double check all the nuts and bolts.
Grease the d-bushes.

Test drive for quiet ride

Well I hope the original poster has his issue resolved! As touched on previously in the thread, most noise issues coming from sway bars can usually be fixed with proper lubrication of the sway bar bushings and verifying that the sway bar brackets are properly torqued.

More likely noise issues arise from the endlinks than from the bars themselves. Make sure that the endlinks are properly torqued at the sway bar and control arm in the rear, and at the sway bar and strut housing in the front. If you're running OEM endlinks ensure that they are not bent and are still in good shape.

Just an update I have 10K miles plus on this setup and I have no noise. Upon the suggestion from Pfadt I re torqued all of my end links and the noises went away.
