I'm not certain you could be more vague.
What exactly is the problem with the shifting? What is bothering you about it? There are a lot of things that could mean "Shifting issues". Please elaborate and we will try to help.

Under hard runs it shifts extremely hard and some times will not go into some gears.
From all the people i talk to and research that Iv'e done . It seams the clutch is not Disengaging fully . And the shifting is worse now with the new clutch. Very frustrating I guess i'll have to pull it out and have it checked .

Just out of curiousity, have you taken it to the dealer? What did they say about it all? Or possibly the shop that installed the clutch?

I have the same problem. When you push your clutch pedal to the floor do you still have to push it an extra 1/2" with the tip of your foot to get it to fully disengage?

If it's not fully disengaging it will "creep".
Clutch in, rev as high as you dare, no foot on brake. I had this shifting problem on another car and I took it drag racing. Wouldn't stay in the lights on the 2-step. Clutch was not fully disengaging. Try it. Good luck, I know how frustrating it can be.

Not everything. you have to know where to find the good deals at. You can find a great clutch that holds 800 ft lbs with a new flywheel for about $630, which ids still about $200 too high.
I got my complete exhaust for $750 (it' snow down to $650) and some people pay over 2 grand!

hey TC ,
Yes it's disengaging at idle and when reving it up. It starts to engage about 3 " off the floor. I have been trying to really make sure I push it all the way to the floor before I shift.

Hoping it just needs to be broke in a little more. The fingers should give a little once I put some miles on her?

I've used a different slave cylinder/bearing, different clutch master, changed the hydraulic lines, split the reservoir, and used just about every tranny fluid under the sun and NOTHING made this issue go away for me. I am completely convinced that it's the tranny and not the clutch. I'm just gonna deal with it for now and buy a better transmission later.

What fluid are you using in the tranny? I would be concerned that you may have the wrong stuff in there.
I have been blocked out of 3rd gear before but it was only when trying to power shift. It was the first time I ever tried to shift without lifting off the gas between gears. It just would not go into 3rd gear and I had to watch the other guy blast on past me through the lights. I plan on just granny shifting it now at the track. Lift before you shift is the plan! -Mark. |
