hyper tech tuner

I have the chance to get a hypertech tuner for $200. Is it worth it. I have a l99 all stock for now. I do plan on getting all bolt ons and possibly a cam in the future. Thanx in advance for your advice.

No, wait till u do the cam and bolt ons. Then do a dyno tune. Plus they can really dial in the auto tranny.

There is a tuning section that would be better suited for this question.

As for the answer, the HT tuner is a pretty good handheld. It doesn't have the ability to add custom tunes like a few of the others but it does give a good boost in power. They're suppose to be releasing a update that has tranny tuning in it but I don't know when it will be released. I know for a fact that the update is done, it's just waiting for the bean counters to release it. If you KNOW you're going to get a cam in the near future, i'd look for something else. If you're going to stay with bolt ons, minus LT's, you'd be good with the HT. It's not that the HT doesn't work well with LT's, it's just that it doesn't have the ability to turn off the rear O2 sensor.
