Nice work Jay!
Anyone know how the Injen compares to the vararam in terms of IATs?

Unfortunately I don't have anything written down, but I believe the Injen IATs would compare very similar. I know as soon as the car would start moving the IATs would only be a few over ambient... Quite sure I never seen 113* even on a 90* day...

My INJEN is only running 2 -4 degrees warmer than the outside posted temp. at all times unless I am stopped. Does not matter what the outside temp. is either.

But if you run the polished pipe on the injen instead of the plastic pipe does the metal pipe not get hot under the hood and shove that warm air into the intake and defeat the purpose of the CAI?

My pipe was the polished pipe, now painted. I do not see hotter temp's unless sitting still for a while. Once I start to move the temp. comes back within a couple degrees of the outside posted temp.

Is the IAT in with the MAF on the V6? Unless the IAT is beyond the TB it's really hard to compare IAT readings between cais like VR and other styles. Sure the ECM uses IAT's to adjust timing but actual intake are temps effect performance too. This will make more difference daily driving than on a dyno or at the track where at WOT any heat in the duct will quickly be displaced. Just a thought. Carry on.

Yeah, keep the reviews coming! The entire first group buy has shipped, and there are only a handful of actual reviews here.

From the product descriptions that I've read the polished and the black wrinkle finish are both aluminum. Maybe someone with the black tube can confirm this???
