KM, you say this now, but tomorrow a big box is going to be found on your doorstep. As you start walking towards the package, suddenly time starts going slowly and youll begin the process of having permagrin. Snow will begin to fall from the sky as you pull out your phone and cancel all plans for the day and install that intake! LOL

Any notice a deeper rev coming form the intake, between 30 and 50? Like a low rumble?

Received mine, but haven't had a chance to install yet.

I know this is late in the game, but can my dealer give me any grief (like voiding the warranty) over this intake? The agreement I signed at the dealer only mentioned exhaust mods.

Anyone have a dealer bitch about an intake?

The new one that vr sent me for prior fitment issue is just perfect. It almost fit like a glove with room to wiggle and I didnt have to "muscle" the intake to get it into position or to have it lined up with the throttle. The way they cut the horn at first I said WTF is this(top is shorter by 1/4" than the bottom), but after installing I can see why they cut it the way they did. It defenitely work better like that since now I dont have to damn near push it through the radiator to make it line up properly horn to throttle, plus now it has room to wiggle with the engine. Before when I would check the intake couple days later the throttle area on the intake side would be loose due to the engine moving, but now is as tight as the first day that I installed.

Only problem that I have now is the thumbscrew, but like I mentioned to you before I am just going to take care of it myself one day when it cool down around here. Not too worried about it since it does not affect any perfor mance, plus the vr guys been great. They didnt just send me a bottom piece but sent me a whole new intake minus the filter and bolts and stuff. So technically I have 2 vr intake sitting here Dont know what I am going to do with the other one yet

Everything is looking good and better than ever. Got the vr intake tuned out and worked some bugs out with E85. There's really nothing more to do as of right now but just wait for what gretch peoples have in store.

Planning to go for one last dyno session sometime next week than hit the track for some real numbers

Bmore...you knot what to do haha and im glad you got your issues resolved. Hows the intake feeling for you?
I noticed something when looking at GTOs pics, I was wondering if we can remove or trim the rubber trim that sits around the engine bay to allow for more aiflow into the intake? Ill quote the pic in a second

And How can I post vids without having to load them up on youtube? Getting prepared for Friday

What do you think? Possible?

I was also wondering if vararams intial intake design was the one that wouldve been better? Not trying to bash Vararam so hope the guys dont take it the wrong way. But the unit that dynoed the 24-27rwhp is something id love to try.

Vararam, do you guys still have that prototype intake? id love to try it out

Still cant wait for Friday

Don't think you would want to run with out the rubber around the intake. The reason it's there is so you can only suck in the cool air from outside. without that you are sucking in the engine heat which kills your performance.
