On the edge of the storm

Litterally! One side of the highway is blue skies and the other is a nightmare. I was on the edge but then the highway turned left and straight into the storm. It wasn't bad but the last 10 miles was a downpour! All I could think about was if my injen CAI was sucking up water. Here's some pics. I have my flame suit on for those of you who are pissy about me taking some pics. I don't normally but I just had to today. I'm uploading a video of the awseome thunder too

We had that same bank of storms come through Iowa this early AM...did a LOT of damage. Thankfully noboy was hurt...just straight line winds.

Someone from Florida missing thunderstorms? That's like someone in Arizona missing dry heat.

Florida is the lightning capital of the United States, and my dog is having a mental breakdown from the daily thunderstorms.

And don't even start with the hurricanes. The roof was blown off our family business (total loss) during Hurricane Charley in 2004. Then we had more roof damage to our house and lots of trees blown during Wilma.

But I do understand what you're saying. I lived in Oklahoma for a long time and storm chased for fun. A plains/midwest supercell is a beautiful sight to see. I'm a big time weather enthusiast and science teacher.

And I'm serious, my dog is having a major issue dealing with the daily thunderstorms in my area (S.W. Forida).

Understand the dog and thunderstorm problem,my pit bull (RIP) was like a nervous wreck when it came to storms. And this is suppose to be an *agressive dog*...ha! We would give him those *calm* pills they sell at Petco..it helped a little. We ended up keeping him in a room with the tv on....very loud.

The german shepherd I have now...storms/firecrackers...don't bother him ..go figure.
