Exclamation Thank you for the help, I knew I could count on You!

Yes I have the order #s First order on 10/24 preliminary order #NDVZGC and GM welcome kit order #A06075166 I was told by the dealer when they finalized this order they changed the car color and options but it was still ordered under my name (so it would look like a sold order). The second order was just placed on 3/12 order #NHTJJ1 (preliminary order #). The reason I stayed with them and tried to give them a second chance was because I have been going there for 11 years now and I think?? they have been good to me in the past. That is why I thought I could trust his handshake. I guess a handshake doesn't mean what it used to. They were so helpful to start with, back in October they put my vette in the Autotrader to try and help me sell it outright first if I could. The other reason is because we made an agreement just the other day and shook hands again (for what its worth) that they are going to allow me 27K on my corvette and I will pay them 40K on the road for the Camaro. This is about 1,200 extra. I am going to go back down there and see if I can get this in writing. The sucky part is if I have to order again now I am going to miss out on the special code that says my car was an early order. It is all about the collecting to me.
The really bad part is I am a die hard CHEVY GIRL and always have been. Since I have been able to buy my own cars I have owned a 1991 Chevy S10 4x4, a 1989 Corvette, a 1998 ZR2 Blazer (bought new from them), a 2003? Avalanche (bought new from them), a 2001 Tahoe (bought new from them and still own), a 2004 Corvette, a 2004 HD Silverado and a 68 Camaro and to beat it all I work in maintenance at the Toyota Motor Manufacturing Plant in Georgetown, KY!!!!!!!!!!! I love my job, don't get me wrong but I love a Chevy!! And you better beleive that everyone I can get to knows about what they have done to me. I did go into the dealer and raise alot of hell on March 4th after the first incident and that is when they told me that they would order another one for me. I thought it would be OK and I decided to give them another chance.
I will keep you posted as soon as anything happens. I am still waiting to hear from them this morning to see what kind of excuse they have for not getting my order finalized yesterday. He originally told me when he pust is preliminary orders thur-sat he gets a email to confirm them on tues of the following week. But for some reason he would not talk to me or return my calls yesterday to confirm my order had been placed and he had the salesman tell me that he didn't receive and email for confirmation. The really funny part was I was going to go ahead and take them my Corvette today and get a check from them and let them have it so they could go ahead and try and sell it in "prime convertible" weather coming up so they wouldn't have to wait until my car comes in before they get it. I am way to nice! Any dealers out there interested in trading let me know! 04 Millenium Yellow, Black top, Black int. loaded, HUD, 12 disc changer, Sport/Tour Select, 28,000 miles, garage kept, tinted windows, very nice! Just a shot if you are anywhere within range.

This will probably have to get handled legally by an attorney or an outside influence.

GM does not get involved in sales issues. They don't get into deposit refunds, sales practices, trades, etc.

Is it shitty what the dealer did? Yes. Was the OP foolish in not getting a signed buyers order at MSRP? Absolutely.

Best bet is threaten with legal action and go from there.

GM should get involved in sales issues then... General Motors Corp. has received $13.4 billion in federal loans and is seeking another $16.6 billion from my pocketbook in order to avoid filing chapter 11 which would allow for changes with the "sales issue" policy to be made.. It is stupid for GM to look the other way on these bad behaviors. GM should front the cost of the lawyer in this case and sue the dealer themselves if certain contracts are breached.. If GM does nothing, then consumer confidence and "sold pre-orders" mean absolutely nothing...

I would not be doing business with these stupid pricks anymore. Send an e-mail to Camaro Scotty and he'll help you find someone whom you can trust in all this.. GM should help you out as well and punish this dealer for its behavior.

I need a dealer to explain to me......

Finally I called the dealer this morning and he told me that he checked this morning and that my order had been placed. I am still in question how accurate this is????? he said he was looking at the computer and it is showing up in his "in system" section. This means it is ordered according to him. Then he said event code 1100. My printout he give me when I ordered last week shows current event: 1100 - preliminary order. Is my car order with GM finalized or not??? I am so confused!!! HHEELLPP ! All I want is my car!
