the control statement may not be true with the manual setting and paddle shifters...I drove a Saturn Vue with the manual mode and it was very easy to control what gears you were in and for how long you stayed in them, I even pulled out in second gear just to see if it could be done, downshifting was just as easy and precise...from what I have read the Camaro's automatic will even be better.

I was torn as to what to get. All the cars I've ever owned have been stick. But there have been times in stop and go traffic that I wished I had an auto. Plus the ability to have remote start was attractive but then I decide I would be parking it for the winters so that wasno longer a draw for me. I know I'll be looked down on by some for buying a V6 rather than a V8 so I decided I at least had to get a manual.

You shouldn't live your life according to what other people think. I don't know how old you are, but it's best to think and live for you and your love ones now.

Makes life so much more pleasurable.

Sure, up to now V6 pony cars have been considered "secretary cars", but I don't think anybody's gonna be picking on a DI 304HP 6 that still gets 29MPG on regular gas. I will be moving up from a Civic and from my perspective the heavier V8 with lower MPG is overkill. The lightest Camaro you can buy is a 6 with a manual tranny that makes as much power as a Subie WRX STI or Mitsu Evo. Works for me.

Auto like alot of others that live in Major city areas...The manual would certianly be more fun, but the traffic can be a bit much at times.....

I thought only the LS with the 18" wheels shut off at 118?

Acutally I think the 1LT is set to top out at 118 also because of the wheels. But I have no idea. That is the only stuff I can find. But reguardless, I am going with an auto because of city driving. It's rare if I don't stop at every single light to where I am going.

im getting an auto.

i have remote start on my car now, and would reallyyy miss it if i didnt have it.
and i like to multitask, and having to shift kills that. even though i shouldnt.
and as for LSD, ill probably leave traction control on. so that shouldnt matter a whole lot
