I ordered a V-6 myself. It has more power than any car I have ever owned. When I tell people the HP they are surprised. My 78 is a 250 in 6. That is what I ordered when I was 22, still have it today. I used to get alot of grief at car shows but now it stands out and just gets respect. It is a top 10 editors choice at Joliets Super Chevy Show and scored a 99% out of a 100 at Chevy Vette fest in Chicago. I like nice cars, 6 or 8. Besides, the bottom line it is a Camaro!

everyone has their own taste about cars. if you have someting negative to say unless its a ford driver keep it to your self. in a way we are like brother and sister. we have to look out for each other doesnt matter if you have a v6 or a v8. the point is we all love the camaro suport eachtother it wont kill you.

I personally appreciate EVERYONE that buys a V6 b/c that is the car that will keep GM in business and allow them to make the SS (and dare I say Z28 eventually)
That being said I could never buy a camaro with a v6 either. You buy a car like this for the performance (at least in my mind). Otherwise it is the same as everything else on the road with smaller trunk, smaller back seats, poor bad weather ability, gas mileage, etc. The camaro is meant to be a gas guzzlin, loud, rubber burning machine that doesn't do the normal things well but does the performance thing above even more expensive performance cars. I have owned a 97 Z28 and 68 GTO and there is NOTHING like it. I currently have a 2005 Surabru Legacy GT Limited (Turbo'd). This is basically the luxury version of the STi. Stock it can go 0-60 in the mid to low 6's with an automatic. With a turbo 4 banger doing that its hard to swallow a camaro doing equal and not being able to do anything else better then the Suabru. Again I an not hating on the V6 or the people that want them but to me the camaro is all about performance as that is the market it is made for. My best friend had the V6 when I had my 97 V8 and he regretted it every single time he got in the car. But again it really depends on what kinda guy/gal you are and how you envision this car. To me the camaro is a toy....and ill admit it, the SS is pure Ego. No one needs it, i sure dont but oh I want it. Fact is it is nice getting looks when you rip by people with that V8 rumble. The 68 GTO was even better but stupidly I sold that in 2000 :( Last edited by Mblock66; 03-19-2009 at 11:44 PM. |

I'm a grown man that does what he wants. I'm also quite satisfied with the size of my penis.
More people should try to adopt this attitude. Seriously people, buy what you want and screw anyone that has a problem with it. Live YOUR life. |
