Good news from my dealer! (Fox Chevy of Laurel)

I just got off the phone with the awesome Ron Allen from Fox Chevy in Laruel on the status of my order.

I was 7th overall and 2nd V6. He said that all orders have been picked up and accepted and ALL will be made for their first allocation (early-mid April).

He said that at his dealership, ordered cars are the priority and they're not even getting a show car! He said that he has people lined up ready to snap up one of these first 7 that aren't claimed by the person who ordered it.

So as of now, I should be getting my Camaro by mid-April!

so harsh dude, let him enjoy his this type of news sometimes it's what we need to get thru the day. even if i think the same you do that its kinda impossible since v6's are on constraint.

I'm curious, what did it do for you to call someone you don't know an idiot? I mean, you seem to get off on being an ass for no apparent reason.

He said they're not getting a show car. HE works there, YOU don't. And since you don't work there, I think I'll take his word over yours. He's their "Camaro guy". He handles all things Camaro for Fox Chevy Laurel.

And if he says that his April allocation is 7 and he's getting 7, I'll believe him.

But if being a jerk on a forum board gets you off, I won't stop you.

Correction: They're getting 2 this month and 5 next month.

Finally I got the email. My code has changed to 3000 !! Now I am very stoked. Hopefully within 2 months I will be driving around Waikiki showing it off.

Haven't been around here long have you? Do a search for the term "your dealer is an idiot". We could have a rubber stamp made here for it; it's not just me my friend.

As you'll notice I haven't posted alot here - haven't seen alot of reason too. It's been more entertaining to watch everyone else.......but people like this take the cake. He was so happy yesterday to share his VIN # assignment and today is calling others idiots............real class act

Whatever man. But again, what's it to you? He said no show car. I see no reason to lie about such a stupid thing. And AGAIN, since HE handles the Camaro business, I'll take his word over yours. Even though you're omniscient.

You SHOULD read more posts from trm....he's not a jerk at all. He was simply stating the fact that the dealer is an idiot (very widely used phrase here since it's so commonly needed) They ARE getting a car from GM that doesn't count towards their allocations. They can't not accept the car. They have no say in what the car is or if it will be sent to them. It's for marketing purposes and the reason that the V6's are STILL on constraint.

I do believe he will be getting a dealer V6 car. The reason I think he may think he is not getting one is that those cars will not show up in any reports they get until it is actually invoiced to them...
Still the rest is a little hard to believe (not saying it couldn't be true, just hard to believe) considering the constraints on the V6 cars and no other dealer has come forward and told any kind of news close to that.
