Driving a vehicle, even without having a phone to distract you is serious business. A vast amount of innocent lives have been lost in vehicle accidents due to a lack of attention of the "other guy". Your main responsibility when driving a car is just that...

Looks like paintless repair should get that out. Are there any scratches in paint?

How's this for damage due to texting & driving???

If you have an iPhone...

..."There's an app for that," it lets you dictate contact names and messages via bluetooth. Gotta jailbreak the phone to do it but it does work. Another app will read incoming messages to you the same way. I haven't had many occasions to use it but when I have it's been handy - and no more distracting that talking on the phone, or to OnStar, or whatever.

Glad you're okay, OP. Sorry for the damage, though.

Really? Not to thread jack Ofer, but I'm JB and this sounds interesting.

Same in NY...but people still do. Still legal here in SC although cars do not require inspections down here and there are no helmet laws here for motorcycles.

To be honest, any time I see someone texting and driving I would like to pull them out of their car and beat the crap out of them, just for being stupid ...

If I carried a bat in my trunk I'd probably go to jail for beating someone for rear ending me!
