Actually, you and I DO think alike! I would love to see a silver bowtie or maybe even a pewter to match the paint. MMMmmmm....I think I like the silver idea better. And...it needs to be polished. Not chome. I want that dull look to it (brushed, if you know what I mean).

Well I think a billet grill is now at the top of my external mods list. As stated on another thread, its a short list - grill, side exiting exhaust, and hideaway headlamps, which I'm now reconsidering, since they look good exposed with the billet. Actually that makes me think, do you think you can do a photoshop of a billet grill with matching hideaways?

But yeah, taking the chevy emblem away makes it look like the tip of its nose is missing. And it still doesn't look right with SS or RS like you've done in some of your other pics
Actually I used to make the chevy emblems before I joined the military. I was the first to process the Chevy Equinox BT. And they cost no where near 25k a piece to make. Not exactly at least. A mold is made and the bowties are made from acrylic and then heat treated and an aluminum background is vacume sealed on them. It's definitely not gold. The parts themselves cost about 3 dollars to produce. The mold it's self could cost upwards of half a million, but will continually be used to produce the BT's for future production. My guess is that the BT is already in production. We started making the Equinox a year before production was to begin.

Hope that helps out.

No we're talking about the bowtie on the concept. It was handmade from gold and yes, it did cost $25K. Obviously the production bowties will be mass produced and cost about $3.

Sorry, I heard wrong. It isn't $25 000, its $55 000! And it isn't made of gold either, not entirely at least

^That's what I was thinking. That doesn't help me any. Acrylic with an aluminum background will give the same effect. I guess it could be aluminum with gold leaf put on the outside. I can see them doing something like this for the concept, but don't see the point. Not if it's gonna look like just like a production piece. But again that's just IMO. One way or another it looks good.

Yeah, but thats info that I was thinking of. I got a few things messed up, obviously. I would imagine that the front and rear emblem would be made in a similar manner. Either way, I don't think that we will be getting gold plated billet-aluminium Chevy bow ties.

But back on topic. I do kinda like the clean look. I'd like it better if it went from the Chevy BT to an SS or Z-28 name plate. I know this because I've seen the ones you guys have done. They look sweet.

omg, the billet grill looks awesome, that is defiantly something i am going to be doing as soon as its available, failing that, i might just remove the grill and do a custom paint job to it.
