80Zedderm,

Can you bring us some insight to why Rick Hendricks Camaro has this issue while the silver one at the auto show with IOM interior looks to be lined up?

ArcAngel,

I completely agree with you, this should be something that we all know looks lined up on the CAD designs and the parts. I have never seen a car coming out the factory with such a misalignment issue on any part. I can understand 1 quarter of an inch off but this looks like its a whole inch.. I'm glad I ordered cyber grey now which delays my order for at least another month. Hopefully this is something that can be fixed or done properly the first time around..I hope it is something as easy as making sure the door is aligned before screwing the bolts in place..

Alot of QC for things like that does happen after the car comes off the line, so maybe that car had just not gone through final inspection....
I will hold off final judgment till I see pictures of actual customer cars that have been delivered...

Hopefully someone that works there will be able to give us a heads up unless its something in their rules about it (i can not confirm or deny the existance of misalignment)

Just my opinion.
Just wow guys! Have to find some way to make the pictures discredible don't ya?

ok just got an email back from Paul at the hendrick chevrolet in durham NC

"I have not seen the car. But I have seen the pics and read the threads of concern. I can not say one way or the other whether there is a problem or not. But, that actual car -- along with the second one, VIN 002 -- will be here at our car show on May 2, so everyone can come and see for themselves the extent of the issue. I look forward to seeing you here, and I thank you for the email.

Paul"

I know that at the very least, we have a few people on the lines in Oshawa, they have to bring this issue up..I agree with ArcAngel, this has been brought up before and it seems nothing was done about it to prevent this error from happening during building.,

OK guys, heres the thing, even if you look back to the Silver SS from INdy, this issue is apparent. And through all th car we have seen, it is very inconsistent. I dont know why, we should get that explained soon.
The sad part, was that someone had mentioned this monthes ago when they had seen one at the autoshow, we were told it would be fixed for production. Now we dont know if it is an entire mold issue, or just the final fit. But after seeing many pics, it looks as if the drivers side is always perfect, but the passenger side is iffy, some are fine, some are not.
Now for those who think yuor excitement will make your forget about it, that will only be for the first couple of tiems, then it will start to kick in, and bother you even more.
Now were not saying that the quality of this car is crap now because of the missalignment, we just believe that the quality is there, but it needs to be fixed. Because that will easily turn away many buyers.
Now im trying to think hard, but does anyone who was at Oshawa remember if the red 2SS had the same issue? I sat in the drivers side so i never noticed it.

I see a misalignment on the driver's side in one pic. At first I thought the problem was just with the plastic piece, but the driver pic shows the door-edge itself sitting lower than the dash.
