I just ordered my eliminator yesterday and am no just waiting on it to come in. I don't know if you guys have heard the news about the big car wreck that was on I10 on friday night but my dad was involved in that accident. He is in the ICU right now and this is only 5 weeks after he survived a major heart attack. I am asking everybody to please send good thoughts for him.

Well, I tried using a clay bar on my stripes to get rid of the swirl marks, and it did nothing. I'm thinking this may be something I'll have to have the dealer fix. And someone said that they are covered in my warranty, right? I sure hope so.

It may not be covered under the warranty if the carwash did something to it to make it look like that. You should try the dealer anyways, tell them you have been washing it with Carwash soap, and that what happened.

I agree - what I would do is go back and innocently ask - hey can you detail this to clean up my stripes. They are going to say yes because of course they want your money. Then ask for a manager and tell him what they did to your car. And since you then know they CAN fix it - have them fix it (at no cost of course). Want some muscle?? I would freak out on them.....

So sorry to hear about your dad - I've been there when both my parents were in a bad accident and in ICU. So scary. Know your family is in our prayers....

The Thursday night meeting was awesome and I loved the show and tell session that followed in the parking lot but I'm not sure I can afford to attend any more. Thanks to Bob L., I have a Hurst short throw shifter on order and shopped on eBay where I found it for $280 w/free shipping. I also ordered the SLP skip shift eliminator, splash guards, and PCV catch can from Elite Engineering. Hopefully, I will get her registered this week so we can get the paper plate out of the window and then head down to The Specialists to have the windows tinted. Right now they have a coupon for a free upgrade so you save $50 and get the Pinnacle tint for just $245. However, when i asked about the Clear Bra, they noted that they only install it at the Auto Mall location and quoted me $745 for Package B (Full Front: 20" Hood, Fenders, Mirrors, Bumper, Door Edges & Cups). Can anyone confirm that that's a good price or provide me with a contact at the Specialists that would have authority to negotiate a better price?
