MRT exhaust 1.0 vs 2.0

I should be ordering my MRTs this week. I've been listening to vids all day. I had originally intended to go with 2.0 after hearing it in person. After some thought I might wanna go with the louder 1.0 since I want to scare ppl lol and I would have an extra $100 in my pocket. I'm just afraid the 1.0 might be too raspy since I haven't been able to hear it in person. For those who have the 1.0 how exactly loud is it? And for those with 2.0 is it loud enough or do u guys wish it were louder?

MRT v1 FTW...........

On a serious note: v1 is loud at cold starts, if u dont care bout irritating ur neighbors id say v1. + you'll get a nice rumble @ idle. From the outside, it sounds nothing like what it sounds in the inside. Outside sounds more growly.

V2.....and here is why:

Similiar sound at WOT. Stealth mode while leaving the sub-division. No waking up the nieghbors. Less Drone.

Another vote for V2. I don't know if you heard the V2 from outside the car only....but its pretty loud inside the car too. Actually my wife complained all weekend about the drone inside the car....I like it though!

So v1 has more drone?! Lol....I read about a member who's 1.0 lost some of it's loudness....as for v2 I haven't heard nothing but positive comments....when it comes to these exhausts I get Headaches deciding which to get! Lol

Yes, Ver 1 has more drone.... drone is a personal kind of thing... some find it unbearable, while other, like me, don't mind it at all...

As for the "lost some loudness"... he posted a follow up saying that the "loss of loudness" seemed to be a perception issue.. basically got used to the sound level...

I was waiting for your post lol....yea that's what I was thinking because when I installed my CAI the new sound felt odd but now I'm used to it and I can't remember how it sounded before the CAI.....since u've had both MRTs can you tell me what u liked about both and which u preferred scrming?

Not fair! It's like asking which one of my kids I like better!!! LOL! Well... like my kids they have their own personalities... Ver 1 is a more raw, in your face kind of sound... on hard rev, it simply sounds extremely pissed off!! (in a good way!) Ver 2 is a more full, refined sound... not so harsh, drone is significantly reduced... it can be quiet when you want it to, but get on the gas a bit and she can wake right up!!!

That being said... most of the time I like Ver 2 a little bit better, mainly because I go to work at 5:30am. But there were certainly times I missed Ver 1.!

Hahaha sorry but ur the only one who's experienced both....yea I have a 5am shift on Tuesday's and I live in a quiet neighborhood so Im scared mrt v1 may bring problems lol....was the drone for v1 that bad? Btw u saying the v1 sounds pissed off makes me want that now lol

I had two mustangs 5.0 with cat deletes and flowmasters, and never had the "drone"
this noticeable inside the car as i do with this exhaust ( i have the MRT V2 with CAI)...
but its not unbearable. I f the V1 is even louder...I could see how that would get pretty annoying

What you learn when you've had the V1 for a while is that you can use the gas pedal for a volume knob! You can drive around the drone or you can "bark at the moon" when you feel like it!

I live in a quiet neighborhood too... plus I live across the street from a Judge, so I figured I would get a visit from the local law enforcement agency... Nope! Not a single neighbor complained! Only one that ever said anything was my wife, who I woke up the first morning I had the Ver 1. I get a call at work, "WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO TO YOUR CAR?" LOL!

That being said, it's only REALLY loud at idle, during the cold idle start up which is about 45 seconds... after that it settles down... you can still hear it though...

The drone was not that bad for me... I was fine with it... wife never complained...
