I wasn't sure. I leaned more toward it not coming back I think, otherwise, I would've probably saved my money instead of trading in a car that was paid for, for an '02 Z28. All that matters now, though, is it's back.

I pretty much knew it was coming back. It's basic marketing strategy. If something isn't selling as well as it use to, suspend it for a few years and bring it back new.

I wasn't hearing any news in 2004 or 2005, but i was hearing TONS of news and magazines with a new 2005 mustang coming up and how great it WAS and how its like a revolution becuase it looks like the 60's model. I was pissed that a camaro wasn't showing up, and i knew that even if i did hear some news that car will take atleast 2 years for it to be made, but the mustang was on its 2nd year. :(

Always figured it would be back one day, just not sure in what form. This car could have easily been brought back as a 4-door like the charger or maybe something even worse.

So, Scott, if you're still there, why was the Camaro dropped in '02, allowing Ford to gain so much market share, only to reprise it a mere four years later?

I'm not Scott ...but I remember reading that back then, the Mustang was out selling the Camaro & Firebird combined 2-1 :(

Yes my faith was for sure tested....Thankfully we had folks looking out for us so we could all have the opportunity to get our hands on this car.

i never loved all camaro's after 1969 so after i saw this in 2006 i was really happy that they made it look just like the 1967~1969 camaro
