what to use to hold stillen splitter in place?

So I used a stronger 3m tape on the sides as suggested by some members here but is still not holding in place. What about sillicone? and what type of sillicone am I suppose to use, it seem to be over 10 different type at my local auto shop. Any other suggestion? not too good when it come to this type of things.

I used black silicone from ACO. Good for 50 years. Red Devil was the brand. Matched the non-painted Stillen perfectly. I put a bead around all the edges that touch the front fascia.

less than 24 hours. I did not use it like a glue but more to help seal up the edges.

I love the look of that. It's officially on my list. Pretty affordable too.

ohh.. ok.. now I see. because there's that gap right in the middle of the curve right? I wonder if I can use the sillicone and seal it properly without making it look like a kid did it. You seal it just like if you was to seal around your bathtub or something similar right?

Thanks.

Now you got it. I ran a bead (very small) around the edge and smoothed it out with my finger to try and make it look good. Caulking and silicone is not my specialty, but it did turn out decent.

Hrrmm...I thought maybe this thing had some screw/rivet points in the middle that could be used to hold it n place. It would be hard for me to trust just tape/glue even though I know many of you have had good results with just that so far.

Would the silicon option work on the Gm GFX splitter in your opinion? The front of the splitter is held by rivits but the sides near the wheels are purley held by 3M tape and mine have repeadidly come off. Not sure what other option to use. :/

The middle 3 posts are not the problem as I even used larger screws and 2 on each post to hold the splitter in place, its just the sides that I am having problems with. I wouldn't dare just use tape and sillicone to hold the whole thing in place.

Mine is an SS, but the problems are the same. My passenger side corner kept coming loose. My install guy used a higher quality tape. I think the tape has a hard time holding to plastics. I have had the same issue on my rear skirt pieces behind the rear wheels. The main side skirts where it sticks to metal seems OK. Did you use a wax remover where the tape makes contact? If not, I would try this and use adhesion promoter on the fascia as well. You will likely have to remove the splitter though. My ultimate fix was a different splitter, but because of other paint issues.
