5% is what I have on my sides and 20% on the rear window. But I rarely drive at night.

I am getting mine tinted this week, 5% side and rear and 50% for the whole windshield. I've done this on the last 4-5 vehicles, and it works great for keeping the heat out!

You get what you pay for in the end. Get the best tint available. It will be worth it in the long run.

Get what is legal in your state.

You don't want to have to have it removed if you get a ticket or does not pass inspection.

The risk of damage removing the tint from the rear window is very real as the defroster and antenna wires are easily damaged.
Then you have BIG problems.

Just not worth it in my opinion.I have 35% on my car and it is just fine.

Just did mine. Went with 18%. Not too dark not too light. Also went with carbon since it doesn't affect cell, nav, radio etc.. also lifetime gaurentee

I say go as dark as you can legally, here it's 20% so that's what I got. Since I have black interior it looks darker than it should, but it's legal!!

Lot's of great recommendations, thanks! I'm not sure if the law has changed, but just a few years back to be legal here in Okla. the front windows had to have a sticker/label on them. I live in a very small town and the nearest place to do it is around 100 mi. round trip (not a problem, I like road trips, even short ones), so I will shop around. Does anyone have a pic of 20%?

I went with the TX legal limits which are 25% front and 15% rear quarters and back.

The installation guy told me that the 25% is nearer 20% due to the existing tint in the stock windows.

Here is ours at 20% - not legal here, either. Visibility really isn't an issue.

+1 I had Huper Optik tint installed right after I got my car. The heat rejection is absolutely insane. Never seen anything like it. It's been very hot in TN the last month or so. Most days it's approaching or 100°. Once the car cools down, I barely have to run the A/C. Windows are all cool to the touch. It's bad ass tint.
