I'm pretty sure that's been a given for quite some time and, unless something changes, there really is not much shock value in the discussion.

couple of good logical points, except when he said F-Body i think he was just referring to camaro's in general

btw idk if i told you really like the pic of your GT500 whenever i look @ it it looks like apredator approcjing from the darkness and the mirrors for some reason looks like it's ears are pinned back lol (i know wierd but it's still a cool pic)

Thanks. It's been know to eat quite a few cars running mid-10's or slower, so it is somewhat of a predator at the track.

As for the f-body thing. Yeah, I know what he was trying to say, but he said f-body, not Camaro. I was just having fun.

you know, you're the most logical Mustang guy on the planet, so far as I can tell... everything you say is logical and thought out... I applaud you as a car enthusiast, not just a Mustang owner

Yeah, I know, but in order to get to that level you would need to run very high boost levels and certainly straight leaded race gas and I would not want to put that much stress on the stock internals no matter how strong they are from the factory.

One thing and one thing only that I liked about Mustangs when I owned my Cammy's is the exhaust sound. It was far more superior. I've heard the 2010's exhaust sound and it's pretty good.

its the true duals... something about routing the exhaust through a single pipe kills the effect... the 3rd and 4th gens, as well as the late 2nd gens, all had this problem... with the 5th gen getting true duals, the sound is much improved.

I hope so. I've never heard a good sounding LS engined car, let alone a great sounding one. The LT1 camaro's sounded SOOO much better IMO. I'm not so sure the true duals are going to help THAT much, the GTO has true duals (right?) and those don't sound much better than the y-piped cars.

I think it's mostly in the firing order.

the GTOs had this really anemic exhaust note... I attribute this to Pontiac trying to numb the car enough to be considered luxury as well as performance... a set of headers and some better mufflers really made the GTO sound alot better.

my '02 Z28 with true duals and big cam sounds like a top fuel dragster... I LOVE IT! it is, by far, the best sounding car we own... the second best sound car we have is my wife's 2001 Z28 with the dual electric cuouts open... it just sounds mean... and its bone stock other than the exhaust

Actually Pontiac spent a lot of time trying to make the GTO exhaust sound like the original 64. It had a great tone to it, it was just far too quiet. Now with some Flowmaster mufflers on it....

Thats about the only thing they spent time making like the older cars.
