Help me decide on wheels...
I can't decide if I should get the polished wheels. I'm concerned the midnight wheels will be too dark on an already dark car (Cyber Grey). I'm not really concerned about the extra money, I just want it to look right. (I do realize the wheels won't be as dark as the Chevy builder shows.) What do you all think?

The midnight silver looked great in person, but if you want a little flash, get the polished. I just think that with the absence of chrome anywhere on the car (except for the taillights) that the wheels would look better in a darker color...

Midnight Silver finish will look great on the CGM. The Midnight color on the build your own chevy website visualizes the wheels too dark.

Midnight silver IMO. I like the stealthy look. I plan on powder coating my wheels black until I can afford some aftermarket wheels. Gray and Black look very well together IMO.

Hey guys ...what do you think about Midnight Silver on the IOM?? Or do you think the polished would be a better fit?

Did we ever figure out if the Daytona pace car was CGM? I saw the CGM at the car show on the Corvette, and I don't think it's the same. But, for the sake of the wheels, if those are Midnight Silver on it, then I think it looks pretty good. Opinions?

I'm getting the midnight silver on my IOM. I think you can't go wrong with either color rim on either car. I think they will look good. Your call though, your car and you have to look at it everday !! Good Luck !! This is so much fun !!

No I don't think the Daytona Pace is CGM, I do believe there is CGM in it though! Not the Base but the details shadowing the bumblebee yellow.

Suskam,
I'm in the same situation as you. I can't decide if the gray will blend in too much or look great on the car. Does anyone know if these wheels are as dark as the Competition gray wheels that come on the CGM corvette? I am hoping the are a little lighter than these. http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e3...9/IMG_1449.jpg |

I say get the polished wheels. To me, the midnight just looks like the wheels are dirty with brake dust.
However, it is totally a matter of personal preference. If they offered it, I personally would get the wheels chromed and really shiney. |
