HELP---SHIMMY
Hit a nice pot hole while canyon playing the other day...Bent the left front rim. Replaced rim and had alignment done and I've still got a shimmy, bad at 55-60 mph...Cannot see any other damage anywhere under the car...Any Ideas as to where to look??? Thanks for the help...AZ5G

1. Any chance you can post the alignment specs?
2. Under what conditions and at what speeds does the shimmy occur? |

The new wheel may not be balanced correctly, or if you hit the pot hole hard enough, you may have knocked some weights off of another wheels throwing its balance off.

Your alignment specs are very very good. We have to look for something else. A good tech that really knows how to use a road force balance machine would be able to evaluate the tire for unsseen damage.

Thanks for the input...I replaced all 4 tires, Nitto Invo's, new rims up front, used a new set of stock rears and squared the car up with 275's all around. ..Yeah, on the tie rod ends, that's this weekend...Take it all apart and see if I can find anything....It's driving me nuts...It was just bitchin' before, tracked straight and no issues all, even at XXX speeds....Thanks for all of the input....More to come....AZ5G
