my question is if you did not want so much attention why buy a camaro i mean it IS thee attention graber no matter where you go i cant wait to cruise down the beach in this beast

and right to everone lighten up only time i get offended is if someone calls it a mustang or if someone looks down on me cause i got a v6 and there rideing in a rust bucket! yeah you press that gas peddle to hard it might snap off or the car may blow up and YOUR hateing on ME cause i got the v6 not the 8 OMFG

How funny? I caught myself saying the same thing to an older lady in a 2009 Mustang the other day.

I asked her what year it was, then complimented her on it. Then, my dumbass asked "So do you like it"? Right after, I thought to myself, duh!!! What's she going to say? No, I hate it.

Like others have said, I think it just slips out in making conversation.

I dont even know how to respond to that! Of course I like my car, I LOVE IT, why the hell would I buy it if I did not like it! I just dont get it, I dont want to be jerk but this getting asked almost every day! I get asked all the time if I like it, or if it's fast and I always tell them it;s the first car I never had butterflies and it's the first car I don't really care that I bought. I mean I like the car but I shrug my shoulders over it. As far as performance, I always tell them I ride a sport bike and a car can't compare to a sport bike and I honestly feel that the car is not powerful enough. I guess I sound down about my SS when talking to be people but it's how I feel.

I think it's funny that you said you say NO when they ask if it's an RS... when you state in your avatar that you have an SS/RS. You do have an RS... so why say no?

I usually get "How does it ride?" And I usually respond "Very nicely, best one I've ever had" unless they're trying to be rude, then I say, "Better than that!" and make sure to point at their car

Why not just give them an honest answer?

If you like the car, so say. If you don't, say so.

I don't see any reason to get fired up about it either way.

I can understand when someone asked do you like it. They are really asking for honest opinion from someone who has forked over the money on one. Most of the time Im asked from people who are in the market for one and give them my honest review of the car. Just like any product just because someone paid for it doesnt mean they are in love with it or wouldnt have gone another route if was in position to do it again

Great answer. I agree. I have asked people if they like their car because I was considering purchasing one. I actually love when people ask about my Camaro. Gives me the opportunity to tell them how much I love the darn thing.

I think we are losing all sense of civility in our society - and that's tragic.

If someone asks me if I like my Camaro - I'm going to say "I LOVE IT" without a second thought. It does not drive me crazy that people ask the question - and further, I think a retort just encourages rudeness.

I'd hope you love your Camaro - and understand that it's nice to drive a car that people stop and look at.......
