Maybe get closer to 28k for trade then? Hope to sell for 30-32?

I'd say you're close to get 30k tops.

Better get on it. Summer is flying by.

Loaded 2010 SS RS with 23k on it. Has everything but the sunroof inc. transformers edition. Also has a $1500 laser jammer system/radar built into the dash, Subs, and the magnaflow exhaust.

NADA says 34,7 is retail, 29,9 is trade in. .. KBB lists it at 33,955 Private party, $31,850 trade in However, there is only ONE for sale in the area below KBB value, so they are selling for more than KBB.

Thinking I'd list it at 34k with everything, 33k with stock exhaust and no jammers, and hope to get 32-33k out of the deal, but probably settle for a little less. Does that sound about right? Theres the same carr with lower mileage for $37k ( http://cincinnati.craigslist.org/cto/2492946653.html ),

How does KBB apply to trade in? because quite frankly, if I can get 32k trade in for it, then maybe its not even worth trying to private party it if I'm going to get the same amount out of it?

(and for those who don't know my full situation, fret not- Theres still a second camaro at my house and I'm planning on picking up either a ZL1, a 2013 vette, or a 360 modena)
30-32 sounds like a reasonable price to start at since your not in a rush. I think you should replace it with my VR4 Spyder however. Its much more exclusive than any of those cars. haha

Dude... If you got the bank, 360 all the way. Those other cars pale in comparison (and cost).

Purchase price is all in the same ball park 55-80. I'd buy the modena except the service and parts are so insanely high I dont know if I could handle it. the other two come with warranties and stuff! haha... But its like my dream, so I feel like it may be worth it anyway. Really, whats cooler, a non-running ferrari in the garage or no ferrari? thats the only car I think I'd answer with the non-running...

I expect my purchase to be the ZL1, but if Corvette really pulls off what they are rumoured to be doing (aiming at designing a mid engine, high revving vette for younger buyers that resembles the ferraris) then quite frankly, I might make a last minute switch. The ZL1 is coming out in February, and the new C7 Vette is supposed to come out summer '12, so details on the vette should be out the same time as ZL1 ordering begins.

Heck even if the vette sports the front engine 5.5 liter from the GT2, GMs already admitted its going for global markets, so more european styling and a whole new platform!

I don't think you're the only one who's looked at these and dreamt about owning one. My camaro got looks and pointing for about a year, these will never stop causing people to drool over them. something about Ferrari's red paint. And the style's not bad either

I would get the ZL1 or the Vette, both are way faster than the 360....

Our Church is having their annual car show SATURDAY AUGUST 6th, 2011 from 3:30 to 8:00. It's a small show, but still fun to hang out, talk cars and eat hot dogs.

You'd never touch a 360 for 50 grand. Likely not even 80 unless it was ragged out!

Haha no doubt. I drove mine to college last year. It's funny cause no one knew what it was, had the camaro been there, i guarantee it would have been keyed.

I think i am getting close to selling it though, its been fun but ive got the Evo itch.

haha I know, but most people seem to foolishly write them off as irrational! I'm actually thinking about BEING irrational! lol...

Actually they are pretty available right now in the 70-80 range. 90-100 will get you a Ferrari certified one WITH warranty... I actually talked to the ferrari store in dublin. I've seen a lot in the 100-120 range too though, but its not just one or two in that lower range.

although I could always settle for a 355, heck that would be cheaper than the vette...

I see the 80-100 rage being pretty typical. My buddy got a 355 a few years back and paid about 100 but it's a convertible.
