Not of you, of you lifting 948 pounds on a leg press. I've lifted weights for 14 years and do marathon training and most I would dare to do would be about 600.

but then again, marathon training isn't condusive to maximum strength gains. Since the first of this year, I haven't touched a weigth (except for kettle bells) and have been working on Convict Conditioning. All body weight exercises. I was pretty strong anyways, but doing one arm push ups, one arm pull ups, one legged squats aint no joke. A nice change of pace anyways.

948 is pretty damn good... Especially to be at 145 soaking wet haha I think the last time I weighed 145 I was in 9th grade... Lifting weights is a roller coaster for me... Ill lift for a year or so and table off on gaining then I'll lay off for 6 months or so and try and gain weight to have something to turn... I'm just now getting back into it... I say good job and keep it up but at those weights be sure and listen to your body.

TOM why does that number surprise you leg presses are pretty easy to do and not the same as squats. A person who can only squat 315 can get on the leg press and do two and half times that weight. Your legs are the strongest part of your body always no matter what and when not having to use a down form everytime and using only your leg muscles its easy to do heavy weight.
Marathon training is different as well. 948 is good for his weight and will get better once he stays in the gym longer. I weight 185 now and still can do 1500+ on the leg press. But I also squat 605 (max). So there isn't any exact math when it comes to what a person's muscle tone and muscle memory is capable of.

Doesn't count unless it's all the way down and back up (aka hitting or close to safety pegs).
Just messin with you man. Nicely done if you are in fact keeping good form. There's a guy at my gym who loads 17 plates on each side and then moves it an inch up and down 5 times and gets up like a bad ass. Idiot.
