Update withdrawal...

Can we get some new information on the ZL1? Seems like it's been forever since we've heard anything. I'm suffering from withdrawals here.

I'm expecting them to throw us a bone sometime in August. I don't think all the beans will be spilled however. I predict an October time frame for that.

The wait is a killer though, no doubt.

I've almost broke down and bought a 2SS twice now. Wife keeps telling me to wait for the ZL1, lol. Tired of driving my Honda Ridgeline.

.

Luxury! I only wish I had a Honda Ridgeline to drive while waiting. I sold my Stealth already and am driving my motorcycle in July in El Paso.

Just going down the road the air is so hot it feels like you're following a fighter jet with the afterburners going.

I refuse to waste any money on replacing the Stealth until I can put it down on my ZL1. Yeah, I want it bad.

A new morsel of info would indeed make the wait more tolerable.

Yeah its been kinda quiet, but I figured this would happen around this period of time. I'm figuring sometime in September will get some more insight information.

Just recieved my GM credit card so going to start doing some heavy charging with it through my company in place of my two airline mileage
cards. Hopefully this will help reduce the cost of the car somewhat, plus
I've heard in the forums that GM will send some special incentives once
you get the charge. Probably the incentives will only apply for certain
cars and not the new ZL1.

My big question will be if my dealer will honor the MSRP when it come time to order the car as promised. I'm sure latter on will have a thread of who was able to pay MSRP and who had to pay a premium over that to get the ZL1.

I won't be able to pay a premium, as I'm sure the MSRP will be near my cap. I won't dip into my savings for this car.

I wish they'd at least give us a price range, so that if it is too high I can go ahead and order a 2012 2SS/RS and stop driving my wife crazy talking about this car, lol.

ZL1 sucks. I hate this car. You guys should just got by GT500s and SRT8s. ZL1 is too fat to go fast. Quite complaining.

Oh wait - wrong forum

Understand how you feel, however I have never owned a muscle car and here I sit at 57 yrs old so I suppose another 8-12 month wait is no big deal. Once I decided to go this way, I determined to do it up to the hilt. I intend to mod the car right away with a target of 650-700 RWHP in my sights. A lot of different ways to get there. It has been extremely informative to see the different builds folks at this site have undergone. Hang in there, the wait is almost over

This is not true according to my source. He/she says it will run on 89 octane, just not very well.
