First mods

I just got a 2010 SS/RS 6M. It is bone stock other than tint. What should my first mod be? I was thinking Hurst shifter, intake, exhaust, or headers.

What is the difference in the 300-400 $$ headers and the 1000$ headers. From what I see they have the same dimensions and material. The only thing I can think of is wall thickness of the tubes may vary. I was considering buying headers, cutting out the cats and leaving it stock from there back...all opinions will be appreciated.

I always do exhaust first. I personally recommend Borla, I've used their exhaust on 3 different cars so far.

Congrats on your new ride! First things I did were in this order:
tint, catback exhaust to get rid of those cans and open her up,
CAI, Catch Can, Vmax Throttle Body, LT Headers and tune.

Congrats on the ride. You are gunna love it. I pretty much have all the mods u listed and I love them all. about the headers, I would have loved to have a set of American Racing, I just couldnt stomach or afford a grand or more just for headers. I have the XS power system complete long tube set up x pipe and full 3 inch exhhaust for like 650...you will be very happy with this set up

Where to start all depends on what your ultimate goal is. It may make sense to do things in a certain order if you have a good idea of where you are headed.

A $300-400 header is going to be a Chinese knockoff. You can not build a quality set of headers in the US and retail them for that kind of money. Some people don't care about any of that but you will get what what you pay for. There was a thread a couple of months back with side-by-side photos of an American made brand name header and a cheap Chinese knockoff. They where made of the same material and to an identical design but they were miles apart in quality. The cheap set had terrible welds, misshaped tubing, misaligned connections etc. Some argue, "Who cares, it is just tubing." but headers are all about air flow and all of those imperfections disrupt it.
