My Baby is Gone...

I have (had) an IBM 2010 2SS/RS that I picked up in February. It's only been 5 months but I really want a 2011 or 2012 or ZL1 (in my dreams).
I was going to wait a few months and trade her in but knew the dealer would screw me on the trade in value.
So I sold her (for a little more than I bought her for which is nice).

Only 18 hours later and I'm experiencing MASSIVE withdrawals. I knew I loved my car but damn....I could cry right now! (cue the violins).

Anyway, of course she'll be replaced with a newer model in a few months but the wait is going to be absolutely excruciating.

Just had to share my (temporary) pain...

Sorry to hear that. But look at the bright side you will get another one. I have to wait till early next yr to order mine. Saving for a good down payment. I feel your pain.

I would be a disaster also especially because I know the ZL1 price is going to be significantly higher than people are led to believe....

Why are you getting rid of a 2010 to get a 2011 or 2012?

So you essentially got paid 1k to drive a 2SS Camaro for 5 months. Sounds like a sweet deal to me no matter how you slice it

I know the feeling.

Little over 6 years ago, I bought a use 99 Trans Am. The car of my dreams. Well, little over 2 years ago, I sold her in order to buy my Camaro last year. Well, after I sold her, I was going through some heavy withdrawls w/out her. Even my g/f said I was nuts to feel that way about a car. Here it is, two years later, one year and five months later into owning my Camaro, and while I loved the T-Tops and the over all appearence of the 4 gen Trans AM, my withdrawl days are over. Hope yours end soon too.

Correct. Did not recoup the sales tax. I look at the sales tax expense as a 5 month rental fee

BTW...I grew up in Evanston.
