Just made my hotel reservation! And oh yeah, put me down for that thing you guys are calling the 1/4 mile. Sounds interesting. Maybe I'll give it a try and see how it goes.

i,m glad your down for the ride...not sure if you ever ran down south but it will be decent in october...g200 had a decent night , consistant 11.3 -5 times , passed along your tidbit and he hit a 1.5 for the 1st time..he just shoots out the tree, while i sit there and try not to spin 1st..on a 2500 launch...gotta try the slicks, all this power and i can,t plant it...but i believe i resolved wheelhop issue..something positive to take out of it...lol..i was gonna ask if you roasted the mh , but i don,t think comparing 6 to auto is gonna help..

I never roasted the M & H radials. I just had them on that one day and every single 60' was 1.60. I think there was 7 or 8 in a row and all exactly 1.60. To bad I wasn't bracket racing. No spinning at all. Just a soft 1200 rpm launch.

That's cool G200 made some improvements at the launch. I'm sure with trying some more options he'll do even better. I still have a notebook of different launches I want to try thinking I still have room for improvement.

As for the drive... I didn't just buy a 2011 Duramax 2500 HD and 42' trailer to drive 2 hrs to Lebanon or Atco. It was planned all along. Bring the 19 hrs on, I'm ready!

what i meant was on the burnout,..i ahve seen some of your burnouts and i got to say, i thing g200 has you beat ...but did you really light them up b4 your run...i have done what i thought was a decent burnout, but as little traction as i am getting..i,m really beginning to wonder???or is it possible the drs can,t hook 600+rwhp on a stick...seems most have slicks..and ted mentioned that only way a 6 can run with a auto is with slicks...he mentioned his car,, i guess his stick can beat you??

Yeah, Ted's vortech car ran faster than me but he didn't "beat" me. But he is also in the neighborhood og 50-75 rwhp more. On the 18" drag radials I just heated them until I saw smoke. When I was at 625 rwhp and tried the 17 MT radials I smoke the shit out of them and they worked. With the slicks I'm still figuring things out. Sometimes I go to long and get more slippery so I'm working on keeping them a bit shorter. The first burnout last month was so long the smoke was entering through the vents! I guess that's when you know they're warm! And BTW, Ted thinks every car in the world should be on slicks!

Is there a year cutoff for the cars? I'd also like to bring down the Grand National but I'm not sure it's allowed in the "Pony Wars". If not I may be able to grab someone and their car on the way down. God knows I'll have to pass someone in 1100 miles! Just as long as you don't like to hang out at truck stop bathrooms!!

I don't think so. We had Buicks and Plymouths from the 60's at the last Pony Wars and quite a few 3rd & 4th Gen Camaros and Mustangs (same era as the Grand National). The way I understand it is that any American brand car with a little (or more than a little) muscle is welcome.....so bring it on!!!

Sweet! Now I'll have another bullet in the gun.
This one has a little more muscle than my Camaro.

As long as its a GM, Ford or Mopar that meets the inspection rules it can come.
