Angry GMPP Cold Air Intake

The dealer just called and told me that latest design causes a discrete warn for air flow. They are working to fix the problem, then we'll finally get what I've waited 23 months for.

I would still stay with an aftermarket intake.

So, as has been said since it was discovered, it won't be available anytime in the near future. Looks like you'll be waiting another 2+ yrs.

23 Months???? You've waited 23 Months for a cold air intake that will be inferior to all after market intakes already out?

I guess we could give him a small break since he's from the state that is the hardest on car modders. Just a small one though.

I have been waiting and will continue to wait for the GMPP CAI to come out as well. I don't want any warranty issues and I sure don't want to be like others on here complaining about GM not covering my car when I clearly made modifications that I knew could void the warranty. If it takes another 2 years, that's fine by me. My car isn't going anywhere.

Yeah, I have no problem with anyone waiting for what they want. I had waited many months as well for the GM CAI. I was steadfast, but when Vararam finally came out, I could not hold off, and I'm glad I didn't. I am very interested though at seeing what GM finally comes out with.

In everyone elses defense, i've yet to see a single denial of warranty from a CAI. In Cali, it's a inspection issue. Not sure what the OP's reason for holding out is, but as BlackSS posted, it's your car and money.

You've waited so long now that gving in would mean failure. Hang in there and you may be one of the few with a GMPP cai.

I called GM and complained last week. I'm supposed to get call back from Senior consultants this week.

Yes, it was part of the purchase price. Why would I wait two freakin' years? My 2010 Camaro 2SS/RS is one of only fifty Camaro's out there, with GMPP shorty headers. Out of those fifty cars, it may just be a "One of..", because it's got every option, except the 21" wheels, IOM paint with IOM Trim, 6 speed manual, Sunroof, GFX, Rally Stripes and all of the parts are GM. My Camaro will sale for a whole lot more than yours, if you've been adding after market mod's. Not that I'm ever going to sale it. I'm gonna drive my Camaro until the end!
