Nissan GTR Skyline VS American Muscle

All I can is "DAMN, DAMN, DAMN"!!!!! Someone I know with a Camaro was called out by someone who owns a 2011 Nissan GTR and initially he was very eager to take it. But after thinking about it, I know all foreign cars aren't slow so I took the liberty to do a little homework and this is what I discovered!!!!!!

So please guys, don't get suckered into racing this All Wheel Drive v-6 Turbo machine. Don't let the name Nissan fool you cause it almost fooled us!!!

That Skyline actually runs 8's now. And not all "rice-burners" are slow, of course. There are plenty of them on the street that would eat your lunch. Anyone with a stock SS, who even though they would have a snowballs chance in hell of touching a stock GTR, well, is smoking some good stuff. Granted, the guy in the GTR paid twice the cost for twice the car.

@Matchbook SS, yeah I know!!! I agree with you one hundred percent!!! In addition, although the Nissan GTR weight is compatible to the Camaro, that Nissan would still whip our azz!!! But you are right, with that $90,000 price tag it better do something. But I am very impressed with it!

Could you imagine if you dropped 50g's into a SS camaro though? You would eat most cars on the road!

It's a good car, from what I can tell. I like the styling of it...it certainly moves out.

True, true...but don't bring that up around here, I mean, people around these parts like to compare M3's with 80k price tags to a SS's with <40k price tags.

This is better comparison. Though I would pit the GTR against a Z06, not the ZR1...

Big Hammer, man after watching numerous YouTube video's of GTRs I believe that it will run circles around the Camaro's big brother(ZR1-corvette)!!! Mainly because of the GTRs All Wheel Drive System! By all means I love my Camaro and wouldn't trade it for anything in it's price range or near it's price range! But I must admit the GTR is a monster at the track! I just don't want to see anyone get fooled by this thing!!

You mean GTR, brotha...Lol. GTO is the Camaro's cousin.

And I wouldn't go nearly as far as saying the GTR would run circles around the ZR1. The ZR1 is about the best bang for your big dollar buck you can get out there right now.

Perfectly said, the GTR is outclassing the Camaro with it's turbo'd V6 and less weight. My Z06 is within a driver's race of it and still doesn't have the upper hand with 505hp and 3175lb curb weight. IMO the Camaro outclasses in it's looks . Can't have everything

your z06 will still out trap a gtr pretty well. but they're training wheels get them off the line quick. anything after 60 mph is the vettes game.
