Vararam.com or look back through a few pages and look for Vararam sales or something. You'll be talking to Steve.

I pulled a 2.0 60' that would let you run a 13.9 for sure. I hold the rpms at 3k and slip the clutch just enough so there is barely any wheel spin then once I feel the car moving I gun it. Try riding your clutch a little more to limit the wheel spin while keeping the rpms up so when you come into your roll you are ready to go. It sounds bad "burning" your clutch but you have to put the stress somewhere to get a good launch. and this is more evidence that the manuals are faster cars than the autos. |

I have no doubt if driven properly, the manuals should be a tad quicker than the autos

Yea I hear you Darkness, I've been told that many times and try to do it but I think I get to jittery and jump the clutch and end up kinda dumping it and get a little hop, a few times I get those hopp free and smooth roll outs, I'm gna wait a bit before going to track again the weather sucks Lol I just want that lower time ill be happy with a 14.5 if I can go lower its a bonus for me :P just want to beat that damed colbalt SS/SC
Question though, what made u think about the auto vs man right now ? But I usually always think the maunal is faster, depending on driver Lol !

Don't Sleep on My V6
|
Victoryred69 A N/A Cobalt shouldn't be pulling on you in 3rd gear! But I see it was a SS/SC. I dyno'd my car and didn't see the extra HP claimed but on the road It shows itself. My buddy has a modded 06' Accord V6 couple M6 and from the 1st - 2nd shift he is in my rear view mirror everytime. I even killed a Impala SS and a Pontiac GXP with my buddy in his C5 SS leading the ass whipping lol! In other words I felt just like you till I really put it to the test on the road! Just get some more miles and learn the new feel for the intake. Because there is a learning curve when you get a intake that improves all your dead spots and the new quicker throttle response time! Also a must for these C5's is a short throw. It will also improve your overall response with the short distance to shift!
And the reason some ask if you a auto or Man is because the auto aren't consistant after the transmission heats up! And tend to start slipping! And the shift point aren't the best also!

I raced a regular cobalt sport with cold air headers and a straight threw exhaust and a chip and smoked it pretty good i kept pulling on top end and all i have is a custom exhaust i wanna give it a go against a cobalt ss and see what it does

Don't the regular cobalts have like 150 HP or something? Or do the sports have more? I would think a stock V6 would demolish one

Disconnecting the battery will not do anything on the V6.
Update on the Vararam install. Daughter loves the way it sounds and how the car runs. Checked last night for any movement. Still sitting in the same place as it was after install. There will not be any tests done down here any time soon... was 102 yesterday.
