Spark Plug Talk

I drive an 2010 SS and have it boosted @ 6psi. I haven't really put much thought into the spark plugs, but just reading around some say it can help things run smoother. Things line, "one step colder every 10psi". Now I'm not running 10psi of course, but is there any certain gap that is better to run on a boosted engine, or is whatever stock is fine?

Don't mess with changing the plugs especially with only 6 PSI. If you actually burn them off, you could change them but that should not be happening at this level.

Are you having issues with rough running? It could be in the wires. They may have been damaged during the install. it could be in the tune or a piece of crud might have found it's way into an injector.

Could be a lot of things but the last thing I would do is to change plug type (or gaps) unless they are already broken.

It's not about psi, it's about cylinder pressure and added horsepower. If you've added 150rwhp over stock, you are most likely a candidate for a cooler plug and possibly a narrower gap.
