Max duration/lift before PTV issues?
How much duration and lift is tolerable before having PTV problems?

On the intake, you can run a 230-231 lobe at a 112 intake centerline (with lift around .600") and maintain .080" P to V clearance. For every degree you advance the ICL or every 2 degrees of additional duration you add, you lose .006" (six thousandths) of P to V clearance.
So if you had a 235 lobe on a 112 ICL, you would have around .068" P to V clearance. A 235 lobe on a 110 ICL would have .055" P to V. Some people have no idea how tight they're running their P to V clearance with cams above 230 in duration on the intake side.
