No problem! I just realized that for some of the folks newer to Camaros, I should clarify that I was talking about an LT1 Z28 (1994 V8), not a 1LT I hate all these designations, gets confusing!

DE 350Z's are 14 second cars... They only make about 260-270 hp under the new SAE hp standards and since all of them have a good amount of miles on them. Combined with altitude they make 240-250 hp in an average elevation above sea level.

Sorry to say, but you just missed the mark with that statement and just assumed what you thought was correct.

Why do you think everyone says the previous gen LS1 Camaro feels faster than the current 5th gen SS, when we all know the current car is really a bit faster? Its because of several reasons...the weight of the car, the quality of the ride, the stability, and the strong more stout chassis. You simply don't "feel" the speed like you did in the old LS1. The same applies to the V6.

So I'm sorry to say, but your reasoning doesn't pan out just because it "felt" more exciting.
