Im coming from a BMW 745 and Im telling you guys that the less bells and whistles you have, the better...when those things break, so does your pocketbook. I am so fine with turning my key. Remote start is cool and I had that on my Avalanche(aftermarket) back in 04. I may get another system on my SS.

My point is that a lot of thigs can go wrong. I've never had a problem with Bonnies. Got a battery once at Lowes. Worked great.

I can take or leave pushbutton start. If I had my choice, I'd have it.

i got in my car one night and apparently the little key is under a lot of spring tension, because it came apart and pieces went everywhere...oh well.

on another note this thread took off...wow. So i think the general census is people want push button..

Doesn't matter to me. I've never driven a car with a push button start though.

Forgive my ignorance on this, but if you lock your car in the garage and then happen to run out to get something and happen to have your key fob in your pocket, will it automatically unlock every time you walk by the car? Does it then re-lock when you walk away? The reason I ask is I put my keys in my pocket in the morning and work in and out of my garage all day and the last thing I'd want was to see and hear my car locking and unlocking all the time. Please tell me this isn't the way it is.

Or better yet, I tend to lock mine up on the drive way from time to time when the weather is decent. If I happend to need to walk out past the car before going to bed (check on the cat, take the trash out, etc) would the car then be unlocked for the night?

what IS the lastest greatest high tech way to start a car this should be intresting and i may learn something new

cause there has to be a another way to start a car beyond a button and a key

Of course not. You have to touch the doorhandle while having the key.
