let me explain a little more why he is crazy. When this 16 year old girl drives his car, she gets to have all the fun she wants with no risk. If she crashes your car the insurance that will cover the damage will not be hers it will be yours. The insurance goes with the car. If she crashes your car, she doesn't have to deal with her parents grounding her or taking the driving privileges away. But you will.

The Camaro already has poor visibility. Add that to a 16 year old's inability to drive defensively and predict accidents because they haven't had enough driving experience, you've got a recipe for failure. Consider yourself lucky if she doesn't leave some sort of scratch on your car.

If you want a girl to drive your car, let her do it with you in it, don't give her the keys for the day. She's just taking advantage at that point. If you aren't seriously dating then she should consider herself lucky to ride in the passenger seat or to drive it in a parking lot.

Yes, you are an idiot for giving your Camaro a girl you "like". I work with a guy here in Iraq and he put his '09 Chally SRT8 in storage rather than let his 23yo girlfriend of over a year keep it while he's gone. And he plans on marrying this girl, LOL.

I'm in the minority with you...2 daughters, and I have actually threatened bodily harm to a couple of boyfriends just for the way they talked to my oldest daughter.

I'm 18 and I'm against the hit and quit, and i always make sure that the parents are just as happy with the relationship as the girl. Makes things run just a bit smoother. I was taught right, chivalry is key.

Trust me, I'm not.
But it's good that you're a gentleman; that's a rare thing these days. As a father though, I'm entirely too over-protective. She'll probably hate me when she finally moves out, but I'll get over it I spose.
