So I'm curious. I've got a co-worker who's pretty much the only person I've got who shares my interest in cars. She's an import fan, but loves Corvettes and (at least the '05+) Mustangs. I've kept her up to speed with the Camaro and she's been interested in the past. However, today, I mentioned that the three car comparisons were out and sent her a link to the Edmunds one.

Immediately, she pointed out that "my car" was the winner and gave me a hard time about finding positive reviews for the Camaro. In the end, we talked about the new Mustang and how Ford still hasn't (and really never did) impress me with what they're doing with their pony car. It seemed to make her mad that there was another car in the same class that was/looked better than a Mustang. Not to mention that the "clear winner" in the comparison was the Camaro.

Anyone else have stubborn friends when it comes to cars and rivalry?

Not angry, just annoyed to hell and back because that's all I go on about. Don't really care though, because some of them go on about heavies just like I do with the Camaro, so it equals out.

It's all good, and will only get better when I drive up in mine and their jaws hit the pavement.

yeah, my friend bought a brand new mustang gt and rubbed it in my face (I guess because i'm still driving my 99 buick regal). And then made some snide remark about the Camaro being old news before it's even produced.

I'll knock her down a peg or two as I zoom past her in my Camaro.

I did get some hating from the dodge dealership when i bought my challenger hahaha, and at some local meets i got to. But It don't matter people have their opinion. I'm a neutral party!

my friend was in disbelief and actually called me a redneck when I said I was getting a CAMARO. A redneck?? WHAT? oh well, everyone has their own opinions, hers just suck at the moment....

Yeah. That's one of my biggest problems with car owner stereotypes. Why did muscle cars become synonymous with mullets and hicks? Isn't it more a statement of classes and fads during x time period?

Yea, and changing peoples minds and opinions is forbidden. You can't do that under the penalty of permanent removal from society.

I'm 19...and make good money...so i can afford the SS...but my friends...they are goin through college and all that they can afford are hondas n rice.

So they pretty much talk shit every chance they get

Such as...

OMG the camaro is heavy...aint gonna corner worth shit

All i do is thi....yeah well the camaro has almost 50/50 balance...that awesome super rad star wars civic of yours is 61/39....so you have fun trying to counter your understeer.

Also....all my ford friends are talkin junk like crazy...saying that mine is 38k and the GT is only 30k...lol you can easily tip the 40k mark in a mustang and still have stuff left over to order.

The one person that does talk to most junk is...my father...hes a HUGE ford guy...he owns a Jag XKR and secretly i know hes pissed that his 19 year old son is gonna be spankin him all over for 80K less.

I just can't freakin wait

Or he needs to see this picture of the 2010 Mustang, 2009 Challenger and the 2010 Camaro from Motor Trend. Never before did I think the new Mustang somewhat resembled the Challenger...

One co-worker in particular, (mustang owner), was trying to be funny and bought me a mullet wig back in December. He said it was to go with my new ride that would never keep up with his bone stock GT. So I told him that after I got the 'Maro that we'd head on down to the track and match 'em up. Loser has to sport the wig for the rest of week.

Now that the numbers have come out, he's sweating bullets and trying to back out of the deal...LMFAO!!!!

I'll post pics of him in that ridiculous wig once I slaughter his pony!!!
