Everything is down... Ford is down about the same.

The IPO was way too high and investors are anticipating dilution of the float from the Fed selling it's holdings. To anyone with experience in the market, it didn't look like a good buy from the get go at $33. On top of that, the US economy is in a tizzy and investors are getting weary of keeping their money in stocks, hence gold being $1648/oz. Economists know we're in for a big problem in the near future, no matter how we handle our debt. In the long run, these may be good prices, but it's too far off to tell now and the Fed still has to sell a hell of a lot of shares into the float.

AGREE 100% and I posted this when the IPO came out on GM and got flamed by guys buying it.

You wanna make $$$$ over the next 12 months buy FORD at $10.50 ......... very undervalued

You said the same thing when F was ~$15.

Everyone is taking a hit right now... even the etrade baby

And I'm one of the people who agreed rightfully so with guys like that. As I said before anybody trying to make a quick buck and don't in 6 months and call it a failure is being dumb. When you invest your supposed to do it long term. Long term gm is in a very good position, everybody knew the short term was a bit iffy, but that's not what's really important. 2014 is shapeing up to be Gm's year from a product stand point imo which should lead to even greater profitability since the new trucks will be out and gm product line will be solid across the board. Also you conveniently ignored the Every body is down right now, stop being selective.

Ignored??

The FACT is it's(GM) down more than most DESPITE showing very good numbers. 33% is quite a dip in the investment world in a 6 month span.

the same with ford, thus being selective. If you read the CBO reports the economy is expected to be back in full swing 2014/2015, thus leading to everyone doing better generally speaking.

Reading and comprehension is selective! GM earning numbers have been better (Than F) and just about every other car manufacturer yet the stock is in a nose dive. I'm actually thinking about buying in at the $25 level. I bought F all the way from $4 to $14 and long term it's a winner despite it's current level.

P.S. not a fan of CBO reports as they tend to be off target many times
I certainly wouldn't invest $ by what they have to say or report.

yup, but these choose not to see why. The reason GM is down is the exact same reason ford is down, not different. In any case, investing long term is what matters. long term gm is in a very good position as long as they don't do anything stupid. Ford will be ok if they can breath life back in to lincoln.

Funny how the only time some people rear their ugly heads is when they have bad news to talk about...

i stated that despite solid earnings it seems strange GM stock is tanking at the level it is even in this down market.

Funny.... no matter what the GM status is(right or wrong) you're always there to try and paint a pretty picture #1

My reading skills are fine. Your grammar and punctuation skills, on the other hand, leave much to be desired.
