What is your interest rate?

Just curious as to what some of your interest rates will be, for those of you who will be financing.

What is a normal interest rate for someone with great credit?

I've seen as low as 4.5% and as high as 7% on new car purchases. Depends a lot on your credit score, who you finance through i.e. bank or credit union, and where you live. If you have excellent credit most likely around 5.5%.

Lowest around is 3.9% for 60 or 4.75% for 72. I got denied by Penfed though and I have excellent credit...not sure why they advertise the rates if they aren't picking up new loans. Currently re-applying and for some reason it looks to be going through now.

PFCU 3.99% up to 72 months, am pre-approved with check in hand, but I'm out shopping for a Z06. My son got the 3.99% for his 2SS/RS so all is good in our household.

I found out why I got denied by PenFed...because one of my payments was 5 days late...not 30 days, but 5 days. Apparently they can see exactly where all your accounts stand even if it's not on your credit. That's BS if you ask me, but no biggie I guess I'm just going to re-apply next month when everything is current. My credit score should be closer to 800 by then too.

Amazing what the GOVERNMENT has access to, isn't it?

To answer the OP, 5% through the GEICO FCU but my dealer swears he can get me 4.75% (good credit required of course).

You got 3.99% for 72 months? I thought it was only 3.99% for 60 months, or 4.75 for 72 months...?

I found, for the non-government job having people, a 60 month loan at Bank of America with 4.55% interest.
