Yeah, I noticed motor trend likes the new kid on the block. Loved the camaro at first, then loved the increased hp mustang. I think they switch by year to keep all the advertisers happy.

Would you keep buying it if the only car that ever won was the same thing, over and over again? I wouldnt. |

Damn, beat me to the punch.
I was just coming here to post a topic about this nonsense. I was reading the latest issue earlier by the pool and couldn't believe what I was seeing. TWO AND A HALF STARS? The mustang and challenger both get around 4 stars, so I was shocked. What could your complaints possibly be with the 2012!? It's got the visibility problems solved with the rear view camera, and it literally has every bell and whistle except for one of those full color touch screens, but other than that, it rules as a V-8, a V-6, or a convertible. Unbelievable.

It's that guy

one thing I find funny about the motor trend and other car magazines that do nothing but rag on the camaro, that despite all of their BS the camaro is still out-selling the competition.

Wifey wanted a Challenger (...very much so), so I took her to three Dodge dealers and gave her an education. Just for shits and giggles we test drove a "fully loaded" RT. Nasty handling, body roll, hesitation, and fit and finish sucked...all for $41,998 sticker! I am sure the SRT8 would have impressed me more, minus the fit and finish problems inherent, but I will not blow $50K on that thing NO WAY. She bought a new Red Jewel Camaro instead the same day. The Challenger is a nice "looking" car - but when you really dig into it it's ridiculously over priced for what you're getting, especially the lack of quality. I am told as well that the Challenger and the lead sled Charger are both sitting on the "300" platforms. OMG. Is this true? What were they thinking? To this day when we get behind one she let's me know that the guys trunk lid doesn't line up straight, or about other huge body gaps....nothing is uniform. It's funny, but I'm glad she can notice. I have got to say Chevy has come a long way....I haven't bought anything from the the big three in 20 years, but when I got my 2004 Z06 Vette I noticed the difference in workmanship. Now we have added three more Chevys to our family, all new. A 2SS/RS, a V6 RS, and a Cruze for my college bound daughter. None have seen the dealer for warranty problems. Kudos to Chevy for getting it right. |

Yes, just like almost all media supplied news today. Even at the local level, imho.

Did they justify their rating? I have no idea, haven't read MT since I was in High School and realized they love the new hotness and have their own agenda....which is of course adverse to mine. LMAO, I've seen you here on C5 Stevie. You just like to stir stuff up. Typical mouthy internet kid without the stones to actually say most of the BS that comes out of your mouth in a forum to anyone face to face. Have a nice day kid. |

As far as reviews go well they are like a-holes and most of them stink. So many times I read a movie review of something I've seen and they rate it poorly but I loved it and the opposite with a movie I hated but they are falling all over themselves to give it an oscar. Unless someone is giving me objective information like a real flaw then I take it with a grain of salt. |
