Being able to body color match the included aluminum covers is a plus too.
That is a good point, I guess its really just what you want. My dad has a Maggie in his and I love it, I think I might be goin with ADM performance in Dallas Ft. Worth, they do alot of work for us Okies and everyone seems to be impressed. I really just want to get the best deal out there.

In my opinion that's a lot of money for 500rwhp. Go with a Whipple and you'll make around 600rwhp, when you get use to that your only a cam away from 650rwhp!

I have the whipple, but maggies are great too - can't go wrong with either. Nothing adds power as safely and consistently like forced-induction. I will never go back to driving a non-FI car again.

I was just stating that in my opinion a supercharger (any brand) is an expensive way to get to 500rwhp. If it were my car considering the strength of these motors I would want to at least be around 600rwhp.

Yes, but if you are looking to bring your Camaro to a power level that is going to make it a lot more fun to drive but not risk breaking part after part then 500 rwhp is a good goal. Bolting our supercharger on a stock LS3 with 6 psi of boost and our provided tune will bring you right to that power level. Not only will you have a reliable, safe, and very drivable package (not to mention 50-state emission compliant), but you also have the option of adding any of our Powertrain Warranties (3/36k, 5/60k, or 5/100k) for extra security.

With the Maggie, LT's and a CAI you will realistically be somewhere around 540rwhp with a good tune. Add larger injectors, smaller pulley and a boost a pump and you will be knocking on 600rwhp's door. (LS3 not L99)

Love the look of the Maggie, love the Customer Service even more than the look. Never heard a complaint about them. Can't say the same for some of the other FI companies out there. Seen first hand how quick they get parts out to customers when something isn't "quite right" with zero hassle.

Mainly due to it's wide availability and many many vendors sell the kit. Whipple is quickly becoming as widely available as the maggie. Apples for apples.. they are both replacing your factory intake and look somewhat factory. The whipple is a twin screw. The competitor to whipple is the Ken Bell they are both twin screw's I have personal experience driving a KB for a daily. Absolutely no issues and good power( opinion mind you) The maggies are great daily's and are user friendly as well as install goes. All of these kits are available so you can put them on with a decent assortment of hand tools and come with box tuners so you can be out and running in a weekend. If you want to go to a centrifugal procharger has several options to build a kit and offer you more room in the long run to make big power. There are a ton of vendors on this forum selling all kinds of blowers from Edelbrock to vortech they are all available.

For a Roots style top mount
-Maggnacharger
-Edelbrock E force
-GM performance parts makes the LSA blower as a kit now

Twin screw top mount (larger displacement slightly different flow characteristics)
Kenne Bell (has 3 options in blower size)
Whipple ( lots of mail order vendors selling them)

For a Centrifugal

Procharger ( several options in blower size capability different belt options 8 rib and cog)
Vortech ( also upgradable to a larger blower)

I have alot of hands on time with Procharger and Maggie and the KB from owning them and installing and tuning them and they all have their good and bad I hope you take some time and read the threads and see what people like and what your goals are with the car.

And if I can be any help please don't hesitate to PM me or Drop a call. I can get any blower you like and put a package together that will most definitely be well under what you thought.... and the same can be said for a cam.
Great post

Being in OK he is octane low. So his car will have to be built around 91 octane. Hence his REASONABLE and MODEST power goals. It is all relative when speaking of boosted power.

There will not be any boosted cars on 91 octane making anywhere near 600RWHP.

Even with a lowered CR piston swap?

My friends ls2 corvette makes 575rwhp on 91 octane with just an ECS kit and headers. Other friends camaro makes 580rwhp on 91 octane with a whipple and headers. 600 should be easy.

With the drive train loss the Gen5 has I don't see it happening. A corvette driveline is a completely different animal. Is this a Gen5 Camaro at 580 on 91 you speak of.

People speak of 600 on 91 as if it is ordinary. IT CLEARLY IS NOT! Especially on a Gen5 driveline.
