Im sure the guys already getting the transferred paint off his door.

I hate people like this. I just paid $500 out of pocket to have my bumper repainted after a scrape and run in a grocery store parking lot. I dread the day I get off of work to find my first door ding in the parking garage.

I like to put BBs inside the valve caps. Lets the air out slowly without actually damaging the tire.

If the damage is on the edge of his door, he'll have a hell of a time 'suing you.'

I work insurance claims on the day-to-day, and if it helps I can get mean as $%*( for a fellow Camaro brother I don't have a ton of tools at my disposal, but I can tell you all the things to look for, etc and help you research how to get vindication (legally) if he makes it a pissing match Send me a PM if you can get pics of his door, lol.

I will give u this advice once...... go to the police now. File a report.... the police will folllow u to work, do a mock up of the projected incident. Don't ask me how i kno... just do it. The longer u wait the worse it looks for u. If u still have his paint on ur door, than the directing officer will have no problem establishing cause. Please..... time is of the essense.

This. You should have immediately tracked down his vehicle and saw if it was his!

If the scratch wasn't nearly as bad on his, he could have gone and buffed it out and you will be none the wiser.

Tomorrow I have meeting setup with the facility manager so that we can go over the tape. He just emailed me and told me that unfortunately my car was not parked in good view of the camera. Also he said the quality is crap and that it's recorded at 1fps. Wtf come on this is 2011. 1FPS REALLY?!?! Anyways, I told him that i still want to see the video so I'll see what happens. I'll let you know!

People who throw the "I'll sue you" line out there have no idea what court fees and lawyers fees are.

The police won't even touch this. It's on a private lot. Also in the past, I called the police because someone hit my father's car on the b-pillar causing the driver's side door to get jammed. It was atleast 2k in damage easy. The police told me to file a report online and that was it. They didn't even want to come out to see it in person. Can't expect much from a broken state.

LOL. Depending where he lives. Budget cuts here and our local police mail you an incident report (that arrives 3 days later) for you to fill out and mail in. When I described it to the operator, i told her, hit and run, and thats still all I got.

This is what I'm afraid of. I'm still kicking myself for talking to my coworker about it since she leaked it to him.

Do you and this ass clown work for the same manager/supervisor? I would go to the supervisor I report directly to and inform them of what's happened. Know exactly what you're going to say and present it in a professional manner, you very well may get somewhere with this approach.
