Has anyone taken it to the dealer and actually had this problem fixed? The noise the fan creates when using the HVAC (cold or hot) is unbareably annoying.

Not sure what you mean by that. People in this thread have stated they brought it to the dealer to be resolved. I was one of them and the noise hasn't come back.

Well the noise is back again. So it appears GM has not improved the fan yet. I'll be taking it back to the dealer next week to try a second time.

It looks like GM is ****ING up. I had to trade in my 2012 LS camaro because of the shit load of problems that car had! I been driving my new Camaro for a week to day. Lets see if this one has any problems.. I have a strong FEELING at this rate GM is going down! So many people here have so many problems with there camaro's it's not even funny! GM need to stop letting robots and other country build American Automobiles and bring back the Factories back to the Great USA!!!

Add me to the list. 2011 SS.. turn on the heater.. squeaks. Turn the fan off... annoying squeaking noise stops. Turn back on... squeaks, turn back off, stops. Not real excited about anyone "Cutting" anything on my car... but being under warranty I think I'd rather have it fixed now for free, then pay for it later. Decisions, decisions...

Sounds like it may just be a blower needing to be replaced. Mine did it at the first speed or lower.

Jinxed myself. The car went to the dealer today for its 3rd blower motor.

Is the problem you all have a squeaking problem? Mine is that when the HVAC is on cold/hot I can hear the fan spinning in the arm rest area. It is rather annoying and I have to keep turning it off/on when it gets to bad on long drives.

I heard this for the first time the other day. It hasn't done it a second time. My fan was on low also.

Took it in to the dealer. They replaced the blower motor, and low and behold.. annoying squeaking sounds when fan is on are GONE. Another win for the C5 community. I love you guys.. sniff sniff.

While it was in, I asked them to look at my spoiler, out of fear of the dreaded spoiler paint rub issue. I told the service guy there was a TSB out for it, he looked at me like those letters were in greek. I was later told when I went to pick up the car that the TSB only affects 2010's, that my VIN number wasn't included in the effected TSB. Grumble Grumble.. even though I had a little rubber spacer that had slid itsway out from under the spoiler and about a 1/4 inch of it was sticking out over my trunk lid. They "cleaned it up".. meaning they probably took an exacto knife to it.. I had to leave.. I have grappling practice tonight at the gym, and I was afraid I was about to lock the service guy in my trunk until practice tonight, so I could practice a few submissions on him..

I've had the same thing with mine. Last year, I had the dealer replace my blower motor. Problem went away. This year, it started again. I will have them replace it again.

Anyone had luck having theirs fixed and it staying fixed?
