Exclamation

Okay, so sounds like the consensus is show and tickets. The way he explained it to me, only one person would incur the cost of the car show. This is the e mail he sent me copied below. I have left him a voice mail, as the cost for other guests seems high, and I'm not sure if there are discounted prices for children. I need to know the ages of the children you're bringing, just in case.

BTW, SlowSS, this is when some dues money would come in handy.....I'm going to have to lay out a hefty chunk of money to buy the tickets!

"Thank you for your interest in the Gwinnett Braves Automotive Night. Below is a slight recap of what we discussed about the car show and game…I attached an Auto Night flyer (or just visit www.gwinnettbraves.com/carshow)with some general info for you and/or your members, and also a seating chart for you to see the difference between Infield Box and Baseline Box seating.

- Car Show begins at 3:00; awards given at 6:00; first pitch at 7:05
- Car Show package includes entry for your vehicle into the show, a ticket to the game, a Gwinnett Braves Auto Night t-shirt, and a parking pass for secured parking.
- Car Show entry with Infield Box seats is $27
o Any additional guests that don’t need a parking pass will cost $22 (ex: 2 people in 1 car = $49 total)
- Car Show entry with Baseline Box seats is $21
o Any additional guests that don’t need a parking pass will cost $16 (ex: 3 people in 1 car = $53 total)
- 15 total categories…we will feature a “Kid’s Choice” award for which kids can vote for their favorite car and in turn receive a Hot Wheels toy car…also, the winner of “Best In Show” will drive the person throwing out the ceremonial 1st pitch onto the field in their winning car.
o Best in Show
o Best Pre-50s
o Best 50s-60s
o Best 70s-80s
o Best Modern
o Best Custom – Mild
o Best Custom – Wild
o Best Under Construction
o Best Domestic
o Best Import
o Best Truck
o Best Paint
o Best Engine
o Best Interior
o Kids Choice"

So are we gonna do the car show pkg or just go and spectate? Doesn't matter to me, but hate for Diane to have to come out of pocket for all these tickets! Probably be close to $6 or $700!!!!

Do we want to put the burden of that on her! Lol!

I think we might be able to just buy the $27 dollar tickets/shirt/carshow pkg and still be able to sit together since I doubt it'll be packed.

But...since there is an event going on it will probably be busier.

Oh you know the usher's are gonna enforce the seat rule, if we were the only 32 people there! "I must be in the front row!"

I think we should stick to the original plan for Diane's sake.
Either way is fine with me though.

My children are 8 and 5 BTW.

Moonshine Cruizin Hiawassee

Went to Hiawassee, Ga after work to check on my 92 year old daddy. Happened to drive by the Moonshine Mash Bash at the Ridges Resort on my way into town. It was apparently the kick-off for the Cruizin this weekend.

Stopped and toured a wad of cars they had sitting around on the lawn around the lake---maybe 60 to 80 cars, total. There were 4 Gen 5's & maybe eight '68 & '69 Camaros. Lots of hot rods. For anybody who cannot make the Atlanta CFA peach run this weekend, the Moonshine Cruisin might be worthwhile. Also, 3 or 4 cars had Hot Rod Power Tour stickers on'em.
