Doing your own thing or factory loaded?

I'll admit that I haven't placed my order yet - waiting until later this summer or early fall. Since I've got time to still think about what I want, I'm starting to notice some commonalities among the cars that people on here have ordered and the initial ones being built.

Seems as though most people (just under 2/3 of the initial week's production, plus pending SS and LT orders) want the RS package - great deal and worth every penny - but - all these cars are going to be running around with HID/Halos and the same 20" wheel style (in various shades/finishes). Not to mention the rear spoiler will be the same. How unique is that going to make you feel among Camaro owners?

My initial plan was to get a 1LT/RS in Victory Red with White Rally Stripes (plus BA Audio and C&C package) - classic colors plus the right add-ons.

Now, I'm thinking maybe I don't want to be like everyone else...

So, I'm leaning towards a LS in Victory Red with Black Rally Stripes and the High Wing spoiler plus 20" aftermarket wheels. It would be different (and polarizing since I know most people aren't fans of the wing) from the loaded models but I'd be able to tell my car apart from the "typical" Camaro.

What are you planning on doing to make your Camaro unique or do you just plan on loading up on options from the factory?

Mine will be a "boring" IOM 2SS and that's it. I think it'll be different since it won't have the HIDs or stripes. In fact, out of all 238 cars we've found, there's only 4 2SS's with no other options.

Mine will basically be factory, but I want to get the heritage grille insert and paint the non-grille part of the insert to match the Aqua Blue Metallic of the body. I may also put an SS emblem in the middle of the grille to top it all off.

I'll also probably be installing the hockey sticks myself (I'm plenty qualified), although I may still order them through the dealer.

So the grille would be like this:

i'm just going to make some small changes to my black 1SS/RS

1. change front chevy bowtie to black with red outline as seen on bumblebee in TF2
2. change out side turning signals to clear corners

that's all i can think of right now

That's what I'm counting on. To the best of my understanding, we should be able to basically install it ourselves. Maybe I'm wrong, but like I said, that's what I'm counting on.

Ooh, I almost forgot about the heritage grille. I may have to consider that one if I don't find a nice billet grille. Nice choice!
