the tin king and CLANKS you hear occasionally is normal cooling of the motor, you just may not have noticed it so much before, you like I was and still am am now hypersensitive to any noise the car makes... Nature of such a major change...

the oil pump problem is from the relief valve sticking in the open position... It is still trying to pump oil but meets no resistance as it is bypassing... Try again in the am, but I would look seriously into getting a new oil pump...

I hope for your sake I'm wrong, and Daniel is right, but, if you have no oil dripping and the oil pressure sending unit is properly installed, that's where I would look first...

Good luck bro, I feel your pain...

unfortunately I think u are very right...the oil was changed just before i left. i had nominal pressure..the oil level in the car is still good...full to be exact, there are no leaks, no smoking or anything else i can see. Trust me the clinking the motor is now making at startup isnt normal. I cant believe a motor this grand has an achilles heal like this and Gm hasnt made it go away..wtf are they thinking. I wont even dare touch the motor, I am afrad to damage any thing if i do. It gonna just need to check by my guy and then whatever from that point. smh. oh i have the data sheet in my hand ...WE went with 588 hp and 582 tq, on a mustang dyno...which i hear and believe shows about 40 hp less then other dynos. The good thing wasnt i wasnt in any beating the car or driving it with the zero pressure...It literally happened at the next startup after I drove my trip....which is regular good yet not something i wanna celebrate deep inside either. Bu i am thankful nonetheless to God for this unseen blessing..it could of been much worst I think.

Man, another hump on your path. Hopefully it will be something relative easy to fix. I'm staying tuned.

In the front of the car it is like a high pitch dentist drill, when it gets on boost, behing it's more like just aftermarket exhaust, even with muffler delete. I love the sound, whistle and whoosh too. And i'm not a kid anymore....

ok folks after this oil pressure insult from the stock oil pump..the car is in the shop again. From I hear I might spared any engine damage. I think the noise is rocker arm cank...which is good if it was short, as in my case. If I were driving for any extended amount of time with the such it would have proven catastrophic. Thank God almighty that I was so fortunate to be parked and at home. Now ...since I am gettin my oil pump upgraded and goin in the motor...btw which i said I wouldnt. HA! so much for that. I will now add a new custom grind cam to the works and see what happens from there. So as my mech/tuner said. I will look at it as an upgrade instead as a disappointment =. But I do miss my car
