Nice afternoon at the fair. The raptor show was cool (the Eurasian Eagle Owl was the best), the bunnies were cute, and the little kid asking his dad if he could touch the cow's butt was hilarious! Had an elephant ear, brought home a baker's dozen scones, and am still regretting the corn dog... Thank goodness we decided against rides.

I used to be able to do rides after eating.... not anymore!

Hey Diane, I'm just an old fart who lies regularly about her age. How much trouble can I possibly make? Besides, I'm probably old enough to be their mom if not their grandmom.

Reminds me of about a year and a half ago when I had an LEO tailing me after I'd just got it up to 70 on the freeway just as he was getting on the freeway, so I let up on the gas. (I was in my 4th gen Firebird at the time.)

This guy was on my a$$ (no lights, no sirens) for about 3 miles and followed down the off-ramp as I was heading home from the dentist, presumably long enough to check me out on his computer.

He pulled up next to me and motioned me to roll down my window, and said, "Linda Honey, you need to drop your speed more gradually as you get to the bottom of the intersection." I said, "Thanks officer, I'll remember that..." some times invisibilty is a gift.

LBM, isn't that part of the "Fair" experience? Eating a bunch of junk and then going on rides til you're ready to ?

Not since I was about 15... I love rides that go fast or ones that go upside down. But ones that spin? HELL NO! And that's all the fair had today.....
