I'm sorry to hear that. I think if you get measurements with photos, you still have an EXCELLENT case for small claims. PM me if I can help, if you decide to pursue further. It really doesn't matter how silent those people are--it just means the owner will end up paying instead of the person who actually did it.

Read my post again. My claim is that they can help reduce the damage of dents, in this case maybe no paint would have been taken off. LMAO, and they don't leave scratches or swirls, if made of the correct underside material! This I can say from personal experience using one for 12 years with my 88 Vette.
excessive/obsessive. if it's your daily driver, it will see enough contaminant action from driving around. parking is when it is least likely to get roughed up. plus a thin layer like a car cover will offer no protection from a door ding as i mentioned before.

You know just be an Ass rent a SUV one day (day off) and park next to him open the door a few times into his keep the door open and back up scrape the hell out of his door. Once done just pull away and return the SUV come to work in your SS and act like nothing happened.

If this was me I can guarantee that something unfortunate would happen to this guys car. My first new car was a 97 Mustang GT. I parked it at a mall one day and when I got back to my car it had a nice door ding and I could see the paint transfer on the car next to me. I didn't wait for the owner or get the persons insurance information. I just gave the car two strong kicks one to the fender and then the door. I got in my car and drove away.

Take it to HR...you don't need to be dealing with the politics of the office.

If HR won't deal with it, you're SOL...

I know this isn't about your car getting keyed, but stuff like this always reminds me of Pulp Fiction.

Lance: Still got your Malibu?
Vincent: Aw, man. You know what some ****er did the other day?
Lance: What?
Vincent: ****ing keyed it.
Lance: Oh, man, that's ****ed up.
Vincent: Tell me about it. I had it in storage for three years, it was out for five days and some dickless piece of shit ****ed with it.
Lance: They should be ****ing killed. No trial, no jury, straight to execution.
Vincent: Boy, I wish I could've caught him doing it. I'd have given anything to catch that asshole doing it. It'd been worth him doing it just so I could've caught him doing it.
Lance: What a ****er!
Vincent: What's more chickenshit than ****ing with a man's automobile? I mean, don't **** with another man's vehicle.
Lance: You don't do it.
Vincent: It's just against the rules.

Stop being a whiney driver who doesn't know how to park. Here's what the avg Japanese has to contend with:

(the steering wheel is on the right hand side of the car in Japan)

more..

you can't do that sht without a note. For all you know the owner had a kid in the car who did the ding and the owner didn't know, then she comes back and sees your unjust vandalism and has no idea what or why it happened.

So this one looks like it will be on my tab. These guys got smart and decided to all remain silent. I should have known something was wrong when I saw that posse hundle up in one of their cubes talking silently. All of last Friday and yesterday, everyone involved straight up ignored me. They probably thought that I would forget or something. So then I confronted everyone that was involved and they all denied any wrong doing and just walked away as fast as they could.

I told each and every one of them that I'm not even looking for money. I just want an apology. That's it. Then I'll be gone and they won't hear from me again. Guess what? Nothing. Not surprising at this point. But what is surprising is that apparently the guy that owns the SUV has been going around the building talking behind my back. But luckily for me, I have an outstanding reputation here. People actually came up to me to tell me what this douchebag was saying behind my back. I just told them the story to set them straight. That's a pretty dick move on him but it will come around. Trust me on that one.

And lastly, I still can't get the video because the person that has it won't arrange a time for me to view it. What I found out from some of the older members here is that the group that I got caught up with are in this "old boys club" type of thing. The guy that controls the tapes is actually a really good friend of one of the guys involved. Now I know why he has been dragging his feet and ignoring me. Pretty pathetic in my opinion.

At this point, I'm going to repair the damage myself. I'm still debating if I should drop $350 to get it fixed or if I should just touch it up and fix it later. But let me assure you guys that this WILL come around to each and every one of them.

I just want to say thanks for all the support and offer for assistance on this one. I really appreciated it!
What they did will always haunt their conscience. You took the high road (by not taking vengeance) and your conscience is clear - that's worth more than $350. All door dings are forgotten once they're fixed.

The Mustang was only two months old at the time and was pristine, I didn't even think about it. I just did it as soon as I saw the paint transfer and confirmed it was the car next to me.

Next time I'll leave a note that says,"You dinged my car with your door so I kicked your car a few times for you."
