The gains are not that much, but certainly will make sure everything is working to it's best capability.

The exhaust note should not change at all.

Be sure to ask for the Cam phase tune. That is worth some HP and Torque.

You will def feel the improvement. I dynoed 264 minus aftermarket intake with my manual. One thing I know is that the dynojet 248x I dynoed on read very low, although I didn have a chance to dyno my car while stock other camaros usually dyno in around 230-240 stock on 248x. Others who dynoed with long tube header and tune wih before/after show around 6hp peak gain but showed bigger off peak gain. Vince told me this was due to something else now being the bottleneck which some think it now has to do our awful intake side of things.

I thought the cam phase tune was only for sound?

No that is the CAM GHOST TUNE.

You want the CAM PHASE TUNE.

Big Difference.

One is sound the other is 13 RWHP

Those with the Cam Phase tune (which I thought was now just a standard part of Vince's tune) seem to notice a decent amount of pick up in lower and mid RPMs.

With your setup, you may not notice a lot up top, but should pick up steam further down in the RPM range.

Yep.......now he has the cam phase tune as part of the base.

I personally gained on average 12 horses through the RPM gauge, almost 28 @5500 RPMs.

I also gained about .2 secs at the track........FWIW the cars putting down consistent 14.0s and 13.9s now.

The only VR + Tune issue I'm aware of was with bmorecam's E85 tune...and he has had that fixed. I would venture to say that if you have the tune and switch to the VR from stock or otherwise you should datalog and have Vince check them anyways.

I'd do this with any intake.

I just remember something about running super lean because of the additional air flow

I think my lean condition with vr was an isolated case due to e85 tune but once I fixed that I had a really good result from that. I checked my logs againt vr today and my AEM brute force is flowing more air causing even bigger leaner condition. I think the extra flow is coming from the direct contact of air that I have tweaked from my fog light hole. WOT got me at 17+ LTFT right now over vararam. Once I get a tune back from vince I think I am going to have a little gem on my hand
