Hopefully this is the fix for all of you. I looked through my documentation and didn't find anything but that's not to say a quick look over wont prove that this method will work for you. As USIRON so pefectly put it:

To all you folks dragging feet to have it looked at, get it in and let GM FIX it. Happy motoring.

I noticed my bluetooth started connecting to my phone while the car was parked yesterday. I didn't pay much attention to it then. Today I drive the car and the only thing that works is the bluetooth phone. The radio displays an xm station and changes the song title display. No sound, menu, or source change. When I shut the car off, the radio display stays on. Never had any problems before. What's going on???

Mine has worked fine for almost two years then on Tuesday 8/16 it started with the bluetooth staying connected thing. I reset my phone and car and same thing. Yesterday when I tried to use my phone wile in the car a message would come up that said "Private Call" and then it would hang up. I deleted the bluetooth connection and the car won't even let me back in to reconnect my phone. I tried to use the Onstar phone on the way home from work and it won't work either. I can't even get an Onstar advisor, even if I push the emergency button. What is going to not work tomorrow? I will be calling the dealer as soon as I can in the morning.

In the past few weeks, my bluetooth has started connecting to my phone as I approach the car and stays connected when I get home and turn off the car. Not sure what is going on here, but it is annoying.

Spell check then go to the dealer since it's still under warranty.

ibbilly, Top Thrill and SamReidland, you should all have your dealers take a look at your vehicles. They should be able to take care of you and make sure this issue gets resolved for you. Let us know if you three decide to take your vehicles in.

I would like to take it in, but I am worried I will get the standard "That's the way it is supposed to be" line that they have given me too many times. If I hear that one more time for an obvious problem, I may snap. I have a few small problems with the car that GM won't fix. They are problems that no customer would leave the dealer with if the car was new, and yet I'm told that "That is the way it is supposed to be"

My stereo locked up on the way home today. Tried to make a call with bluetooth and the entire system hung. Wouldn't play songs from USB (which it was doing right before I tried to make a call), wouldn't switch to XM, FM etc... Turned off the car and the stereo wouldn't shut down. Had to pull the battery cable to kill it. Car is nearly 2 years old and this has never happened before. Looking forward to the excuse the dealer will give me on why this is normal behavior.

Mine did the same thing on Friday. I tried to use the on-star phone and it just locked up. I could not get anything to work. I make a stop at the store and when I turned the engine off everything else stayed on. I thought I was going to need pull the battery cable when I got home. I just keep hitting buttons and it finally went to FM radio and shut off fine when I got home. I am afraid to even change the radio station at this point. Not sure what it might do.

I had to pull the battery cable to reset mine. The reset seems to have done it some good. It is no longer connecting to my phone until I turn the car on. I guess it just needed a reboot.

How weird!

Last weekend, I was on my iPhone when all of a sudden it switched to the bluetooth source for my car. The car was in the driveway and had been off all weekend. The phone had done that twice that weekend.

Yesterday, my phone would not connect to the car via bluetooth. I rebooted the phone, restarted the car, reset the radio to factory settings, and even deleted the pairing. When I did that, the radio would not allow me to select the "Pair Device(Phone)".

I was able to get this working by disconnecting the car battery and "rebooting" the car.

The only thing that I can think of is that two weeks ago, I had the PDIM changed out as part of the TSB and the software is sitting at DA/DX. (I have an early number MY2010)

Is anybody else that is having this issue recently changed their PDIM?
